CASTMATES OF A LIFETIME 🥹🫶

(Part 2) Once I took a good hard look at those feelings, it hit me, WHO CARES!!!!!! 1.3 million earths fit inside the sun (by volume)… seriously, the world is infinite, and me messing up on stage ain’t gonna be the end of it. But two things can be true. We are small, but also this moment is everything and matters more than anything else. Your story matters! But failure does not, there are a billion new opportunities, possibilities, and realities for you at any moment. At ANY time.

So, when those thoughts inevitably crept in, I tried my hardest to replace them with “I trust God,” “I release the outcome,” and “I am still lovable and worthy even if I blow it on stage.” And you know what I also found? This wasn’t a process I had to go alone.

Every time I went to practice, I felt more confident, because the people around me were so wonderful and uplifting. Their talent and kindness blew my mind!!! You’re telling me that a bunch of people from across Denver with full-time jobs and busy lives took the time to get silly & learn this play & express themselves & grow?! Well now I’m tearing up. It was such a sacred, beautiful thing. Every time I questioned myself, the support and inspiration from the cast carried me through just one. more. practice. Their support (and numerous pep talks from my friends and family) were my wings through this experience.

You know what ended up happening, IT ALL TURNED OUT MAGICALLY! And was SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!! Yes, it was hard. Yes, I wanted to quit. But also YES, it was everything I needed, and I could not be more grateful that I was given this opportunity to express, and learn, and meet such wonderful people 🥺

I am so grateful for every hour spend with my amazing castmates (I’m gonna miss them), every weekend for the past 9 weeks getting to be the quirky & joyful Leaf Coneybear, and every time I questioned myself, because when I pushed through, I become stronger. Learning and being creative with these people truly was the joy of my life, and I’ll be forever grateful for this experience. (Cont in comments)
