Indie Author and bookish bestie edition 💖

I spent the day with one of my all time favourite people today @whatsemilyreading_ and it had me thinking about all the amazing people that make the bookish space a lovely place to be.

The world is a hellscape sometimes so it’s nice to take a second to think about all the wonderful people that add a little light.

Another month and another amazing book club meeting! 📚

Thank you to everyone who was able to join us today to discuss Evening the Score by Lexi Lafleur Brown! I had so much fun talking about the book, Sharks pre-season, Macklin getting the captain title and the PWHL! 🏒🥅

The Group Chat Trope conducted some very important research this week. 🔬📚

We disagreed on tropes. We disagreed on book boyfriends. We discovered some people will apparently choose friends to lovers on purpose. 👀

But somehow, against all odds, the group chat survived.

And we did reach one unanimous conclusion: if there’s no chemistry, your “perfect plot” is not saving you. 😂
