It seems that everyone has grown up and moved on. But this twisty thriller asks, how much do we really move on from bullying and how far would we go to make sure that what haunted our days in the past stops haunting our lives in the future. And the question of once you tell a secret how dangerous can it be!
This was a good read. It makes you wonder who is telling the truth, constantly. There is more than one narrator and they’re not all reliable.

We’re all invited? 👀 I’m not entirely sure I’d like to attend this particular reunion, but I’m more than happy to be a bystander and read all about what started at prom and what ends here!

I always hoped for a school reunion one day, but this book already has me feeling rather relieved that it’s never happened! And proms weren’t a thing in my day (that makes me sound very old) 😂

And can we just appreciate this cover? 😍 I love the colours! The hints of deep red against the white, grey and black. Such a clean, crisp colour palette with a wonderfully murderous feel. 🩸🫶🏼

A thriller set in two timelines - school prom in 2006 and a school reunion 20 years later when 6 school friends meet up in a pub. Told from multiple POVs this is a fast paced and exciting mystery thriller.

Briefly, after a disastrous prom most of them never met again, whilst one of them disappeared completely. However, when the Council 20 years later decide to demolish the old school for a car park, one of the boys, Eric Stewart, who is now a celebrity, decide to hold a reunion in a bid to raise money to oppose the demolition. But the reunion descends into recrimination and lies and ends with a death. The following day the remainder of the group are gathered together as someone knows the truth and is threatening to tell the police unless they admit their respective guilts.

Full of secrets, lies and twists all the way! It kept me on the edge of my seat and although I had an inkling I just didn’t see exactly that ending coming. Good characters and a clever twisty plot made for an entertaining read. Be careful what you wish for!
