POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

For the three months I lived in Sydney, I felt so looked after by the universe 🌌 🩷

But I was determined to make my move not about acting. That's too much pressure.

A few years ago, after three vicious rounds of Kambo, nontheless, i remember thinking -

"Maybe I don't need to become someone..."

Because I am already am someone.

We as Queensland artists, theatre-makers, actors are often told to move to Sydney. Fair enough, but if I've learnt anything, its that we have to start where we are.

Start within 🌱

Too often I'm scrambling for something outside of myself - an audition, a text, something to confirm I'm meant to be on this path.

I'll never know. Who knows if I'll get to call myself an actor for longer than a show season or booking 😂

I just know I am an artist, wherever I go. I'm so grateful I get to keep writing and performing and working alongside the most brave, creative human beings.

Location irrelevant, I think the point isn't to "become" but to be. To sink deeper into myself.

And just keep swimming 🐠✨
