Ryan likes to remind me that I am spoiled as a @padres fan making the postseason 4 times out of the last 5 years but it doesn’t mean that tonight’s loss wasn’t heartbreaking. I know it’s baseball, and you can’t play could’ve, would’ve, should’ve but it’s the close calls that sting the most. And I feel for the fans that have been waiting decades. Still, it’s absolutely worth the schedule rearranging, the frantic ticket buying, the heart palpitations, to be there at Petco. It will only make the one-day win that much sweeter, right?

Took me awhile, but I get it, baseball fans. The drama. The heart. The hope. The belief. Until next year…and another round of this toxic relationship that sucks you back in and can make or break your mood on any given day. ⚾️💔

This does break our streak of only attending winning home playoff games but it was also my 6th postseason game (2022: 1, 2024: 2, 2026: 3). 📈 With that trend, 2040 is our year! 😂

So much evidence of creative play from Sundays workshop. The rain was light and stopped early and we explored and experimented with lots of different techniques as we grazed on yummy potluck and wine. Good folks. Good fun. Paint me happy🥰#mixedmediaworkshop #sawdustartfestivalartist#creativeplay #joyful

We start each workshop with five prompts. Today’s were pink, square, number, word, texture. These were the student results. So much fun! And so pink💕

Another wonderful mixed media workshop. The prompt for these pieces ( to get things rolling) was aqua, 5, circle, text, and flower. Such a variety of uses for the prompts!! #mixedmediaart #mixedmediaartworkshop #funclasses #lagunabeachart #adayofplay #toomychfun #joyful

Today isn’t just a day to honor our mothers that birthed us into this world. We must also honor all of our ancestors that have come before us. The lineages of women and grandmothers. All the way back to our Divine Mother.

I thank my mother for birthing me into existence. My grandmothers for birthing my parents. And all the generations before them.

I thank Mother Earth for birthing us from the elements and the Divine Mother for birthing the Universe.

I thank all the beautiful and strong women in my life that have acted as mother figures. My amazing sister @deutschfam8 , my Aunt Teresa @mamabell4 , @waterwoman1 , @tsinclair1965 , @harrietpreovolos624 , Auntie @warung_aunty . For showing me how to love others, especially those you did not brith on your own.

I guess today is really about loving one another. And honoring this life.

There are far too many teammates, coworkers & coaches to name who have impacted my life.
They have all been a part of my growth as a person, athlete and professional & have been there for huge moments in my life (promotions, engagements on half dome, buying our 1st house & our wedding). .
.
You all are my family. I love you, thank you for making Team Challenge swim, bike, run FUN.
