So much fun yesterday at our Sr Adult Brunch at Lindsay Lane Baptist Church. Yes, I said Sr Adult. That’s kind of sobering:). I’m so glad I went. When I walked up Mrs. Myra King and John Wayne were walking in also so I asked if I could sit with them and I immediately felt at home. Who would have ever guessed when God put it in my heart years ago to want to play for the “Lady Warhawks,” at Calhoun College, that He would have already prepared a godly coach in Myra King to love on us and live before us the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Who would have thought that at the end of my second year I would get saved through being invited to a Youth Revival at our FCA meeting that Mrs. King and the other coaches started at Calhoun? Who would ever thought that the baby she was pregnant with then would become both of our pastors and so many others? Who would have ever thought that Andy John’s wife’s Daddy was used by God to help Johnny, who got saved a month after I did, get to be the pastor at Indian Grave Baptist when he finished seminary when we were young and now she is my pastor’s wife? It’s pretty cool to look back and see God’s weaving in your life and the lives of others and see how His plan is worked out through the desires He gives us and sometimes by saying no to those desires too. “Has thou not seen how thy desires have been granted in what He ordaineth.” I love you, Mrs. King and thank God for using you to be a godly influence in my life and all the other girls down through the years your life has touched for Jesus Christ. You are still letting God shine so brightly through you and your family.and the women you teach and lead for Jesus.
