Aw last night is the kind of night you dream of when you’re putting together little DIY cafe shows

I must say @barrypeak is a dream to work with.
So positive, nice, charming and talented! What more could ya ask for

Was a pleasure to have @hatchetfield who has gotta be one of the most talented musicians on this island

And my wonderful pal Alanah Frances who absolutely killed her set and who we all can agree needs to record those songs asap (thanks for letting me play alongside you)

A million thanks to everyone who came down and helped us make the show a sellout which is always nice to say as a tiny promoter

More shows like this please 🥺💖

Two years of filming a Johnny Muir documentary on the life and times of the Kilrea Killer here .

Expect a lotta rock n’ rollin’ , various cameos and some fairly hard hittin’ truths 💀⚡️💀

Apparently it's #folkhorrorweek here on Instagram (hosted by @billyloveshorror), so as big fans of the genre we thought it'd be the perfect time to share a brief selection of some of our favourite related films, books, music and more. Not a ‘best of’ list, just some recommendations!

Which of these have you seen/read/heard?

Be sure to let us know of any more we might not be aware of! We're always up for more folk horror in our lives.

Our first ever issue was ‘Folklore & Folk Horror’, which felt like a fitting introduction to the zine. It features interviews with members of Green Lung and Wardruna, pieces on rituals and vampires, and an encounter with a real-life Wicker Man. If that's of interest, it's still available to order on our website now.
