From Aug. 14 – 28 participating restaurants will offer special menus for dine-in lunch and/or dinner. Try a new place, new dish or tasting experience in any corner of Los Angeles. ⁣

On the westside, highlights include Benihana, the perfect special occasion spot for all ages, and family-friendly and Michelin recommended bakery and pizzeria Milo & Olive.⁣

Participating DTLA restaurants include Grand Central Market where a diverse selection of vendors are offering $15, $25 and $35 menus, Japanese casual restaurant Hatch, which features a pet-friendly outdoor dining area and Hilltop Coffee + Kitchen offering a special on their breakfast sandwich. ⁣
⁣
With over 400 participating restaurants representing all the diverse flavors of L.A., you’re safe to skip the kitchen for a day and find a place the whole family will enjoy.

☀️ Week 3 of DTLA Summer Camp was a blast!

From bocce ball at The Bloc to trail mix making at Maple Block BBQ in Grand Central Market, our DTLA office worker community came together for another week of fun, connection, and friendly competition. We even fit in a little dancing to música norteña by Carlos y Charlos.

Continuing with some West Coast eats: here is food from Hatch, a yakitori bar (Japanese tapas) in DTLA🍢 We both didn’t know what yakitori was, but it’s basically skewers that are grilled. Slides 3, 4, and 5, show our black sesame chicken breast, bacon-wrapped shishito peppers, and chicken thighs with green onion, respectively🍗🌶️🫑 the star of the show was the shishito peppers with bacon 🥓

Slide one is their samurai burger, which was my favorite thing we tried! The sauces and the cheese were so flavorful, and the beef just melted in my mouth.🍔🍟The second slide is a soft shell crab “taco”🦀 this was my first time trying soft shell crab, and tbh I couldn’t even taste it! It was heavy on the mint and herbs 🌿
