A huge thank you to everyone who donated a hat to The Warm Ewe’s @hatsgiving donation. We delivered 121 hats to @maincareenergy for this year’s donation!! We hoped to surpass last year’s donation of 96 hats and you really came through. A lot of kids undergoing chemotherapy will have a warm head this winter, all thanks to your generosity.

You’re looking at it! Our Columbia County Library patrons really turned out this year, with hundreds of handmade and store-bought hats being donated at 11 different libraries. These donations have gone directly to @hatsgiving , a nonprofit that distributes hats to pediatric
cancer patients across the country. Thank you all for your wonderful donations!

We want to thank the students from the Chatham Middle School who decorated The Warm Ewe’s windows for Halloween. We love them! Be sure to check out ours and the other store windows along Main Street for the students’ great artwork. Join us for Community Making today from 2pm to 5pm. Are you knitting hats for Hatsgiving? Community Making is a great time to start a hat. We’ll be collecting them through Nov. 11th for delivery to @maincareenergy. We already have an impressive collection but want to add to it. Heading out to donate these kid-sized Blue Bird Beanies to @hatsgiving. Hatsgiving was started a few years ago by a student in my area to provide warm hats to children undergoing cancer treatment at Albany Medical Center. As the program has grown, hats are now distributed to cancer centers all around the US. What a nice grass roots effort started by a child to help other children. 👍 .

Check out all these amazing hats that were donated to CURE by Jeremy from Hatsgiving. They donated 175 hats for our CURE families to help them stay warm in the cold winter months. Jeremy started #hatsgiving in 2012 when he was just 8 years old and since has donated over 5,771 hats to pediatric cancer patients across the country. Thank you Jeremy and Hatsgiving for all the great work you do!
