The doors to the disco are finally open, let’s boogie 🕺🏽🪩

When I first approached @hunterdaru and told him I wanted to make a music video in the span of a month, he said, “You’re literally insane…okay, what’s the vision?” 😂 And from there, we built a little world.

We wanted to pay homage to the magic of shows like Soul Train and The Cher Show. Not by recreating them, but by reviving the feeling they gave us: come as you are, be yourself, and dance like nobody’s watching. Also fashion!

WELCOME TO THE DISCO is a place to feel alive. A place to let go, to dance with your friends, and forget about the outside world for a little while, even if just for one night.

Hunter, I couldn’t have brought this to life without you. Thank you for believing in me, for creating this beautiful world, and jumping headfirst into the madness with me. I feel incredibly lucky to call you my brother🫶🏽

And to every creative tagged below, thank you for bringing your talent and dedication to this vision. To be surrounded by a community of people who believe in your ideas enough to pour their own magic into them is one of the greatest gifts I could ask for.

WELCOME TO THE DISCO is out now! ✨🪩

When I wrote this song 4 years ago, it was really just an experiment for myself. I never thought it would see the light of day. But then folks online (TikTok 😏) heard something in it and reminded me of my own purpose… and why I fell in love with music in the first place.

I’ve always loved old-school music — the records my parents raised me on, the sounds that filled our home, the songs that somehow make you feel nostalgic for a time you weren’t even alive for.

“WELCOME TO THE DISCO” is my little love letter to that feeling. But it’s also me finding my way back after 10 years and putting my own spin on it. Thank you @izzy.perri for your musicianship & bringing this idea to life and to my brother @hunterdaru for your insane artistry in helping me build this world.

So welcome to my disco. 💃🏻

Every year we work with the Hawaii International Film Festival to design their Fall Festival visual identity, but this year was different. We had the opportunity to bring this year’s theme “Creating New Traditions” into a live action trailer.

The Ho’okupu embodies tradition, reflecting how each generation carves its own path and preserves stories, sharing them in a uniquely personal voice.
