Thank you to everyone who showed up and participated in our first fundraising event. Gratitude to all the players, volunteers, vendors, and our DJ. And because of you, this day came together. 🫵❤️

We’re also grateful to have shared space with our neighbours, as another community event was happening alongside us. As our host @saint.solstice reminded us, O‑Day‑Min in Anishinaabe is “strawberry,” meaning standing in the heart of amiskwaciwâskahikan.

The stem of that heart is the North Saskatchewan River, the vessels are the waterways, and the veins are the people. The strawberry roots represent the many cultures that make up this city today. 🍓

We honour the land we gather on and remain committed to serving our community, our siblings, and everyone we share these spaces with. We love all of you! 💕

Huge shout-out to @hausofebonii and @zetnayeg for showing up and joining us. @elen.yeg for bringing players and volunteers to help us. ❤️

Thank you to our vendors @neverthesameco and @drtyicecream

Our amazing DJs: @magnetic.em @russecetta4real @acordingtodenise
Thank you to @aviary.edmonton for the sound system!
