The little Hmong girl that saved up all her birthday and holiday cash to buy fashion magazines.

For my first subscription to Vogue, I sent in my wrinkled up cash and quarters by mail. Hoping they'd accept it. Luckily they did. Ever since then I found my calling into modeling, fashion, styling, and art. This is where I belong.

I have been absolutely blessed by this whole team and experience.

Dear Yawv Txiv (Grandpa),

Some days I find myself thinking about you
When you were here, life was anything but bitter
When you left, life became very lonely
Maybe it's always been that way
That's why you decided to leave so soon
Loneliness crept its way into my heart and mind too
Life became very past rather than present
Present was only given to those who deserved it
I truly felt like I was born undeserving and unlucky

But then something clicked and I wanted more
More present moments
More love
More time to cry and hold myself

And here I stand today

In front of cameras
Connecting with so many talented and kind souls
In front of myself
Each photo that is taken of me is a moment to reflect on who I was and who I am now

I can have fun
Truly enjoy myself, my own presence

Body Image Shoot for @sekyofficial

I recently teamed up with the incredibly talented photographer and fellow SEKY creator @vivsualz for a project that is very close to our hearts. We wanted to capture a group of BIPOC women, highlighting stigmatized and non-Eurocentric features. We also learned each woman’s personal journey with body image. It was a beautiful experience , one that made me feel less alone in my own struggles with self-acceptance. Thank you to the women who participated in this project. Meeting and creating with yall impacted me deeply ❤️

Growing up, you believe you have to have your life together in your mid 20s to 30s. But really, is that true? Definitely not. The older you get, the more life reveals itself more messier. But it's actually more beautiful. Why? Because you are living everyday with more experience, getting to know yourself better. Whether you are one day closer to figuring out what dream you want to turn into a career, or took three steps back from healing from a trauma by making a mistake you regret. You get 365 days, then you turn another age. But really, you have every day to control where you want to go. That's what makes life so amazing. Don't let an age number limit where you are suppose to be. It's not too late, and if it's hard to keep moving forward, take it one day at a time, you'll eventually get where you are meant to be.
