Slightly chaotic, sometimes taking pics even when they look crap, but here’s a day in my life. Fresh bread, shoe research, factory love notes and some very relevant Duolingo. Fuelled by iced coffee and apparently ready for bed by 8pm.

7.28am Morning walk to Eataly for fresh bread 8.57am Random Vinted finds. I’m going to use it as a pen holder. 9.32am Duolingo knows that the most important morning sentence would be the following... 10.00am Leaving the flat 11.01am Photoshoot session with Ali 12.23pm New shoe model, images for the website 3.02pm Some vintage shoe research 3.35pm More Duolingo on the way back to the flat, we’re on a great chapter right now, very relevant 4.03pm What’s the perfect shade of brown for a boot? 4.26pm Popped out for coffee and a shoe check 4.55pm Photos from the factory 5.16pm Love notes from the factory, they approve 5.51pm End of day life admin and a pint of iced coffee 6.29pm The sun is already disappearing :( winter is coming and I went to bed at 8pm

Everything I did as a shoe designer: heel selection got a new design!

I love the Bubble Mule so much that I want to turn it into a heeled boot. For me, it’s an everyday shoe to wear with jeans or even joggers. Exactly what I need right now, and I have a feeling you HAVVA ladies do too!

So come with me to choose a heel for the new construction. This is my go-to place for heels, and it’s where my Netto heel comes from. For me, that heel has the perfect balance of shape, proportion and style.

I’ve narrowed it down to a few options that I think could work. They’re all in the same family, but each is slightly different, and those little differences make such a huge one once they’re actually on@the shoe.

I love learning from the specialists at every stage of shoemaking. As Nafi always says, you’re learning every day, so keep your eyes and ears open. And, of course, do what I do: ask lots of questions! 🫶🏼

One of my favourite parts of being a designer: spending the day with my favourite last maker in Italy. 🤎

That flat-fronted toe is going to look 10/10.

A super-wide rounded toe, with soft leather pulled over the last so I can see the shape more clearly.

A taped last with the toe sliced at an angle. Delicious.

And that point? Sharp!!!

A whole section of squared toes, plus one with a seriously strong wall and toe shape.

My narrowed-down selection. Safe to say we were here for another hour or so!

And, as always, I’m being nosey. No cupboard is safe when I’m around. 👀

I could spend all day looking at lasts. The tiniest change in shape can give a shoe a completely different character, and I can’t wait to see where these take us.

I love these trousers because my dad made them! We stitched a pair of old @levis shorts waistband to a pair of @ader_error trousers that I bought 2 sizes larger. Also @havva_mustafa Lucky You hat. #ootd
