Dying for Denim Part I The Dying for Denim collection was an expression of creativity & a metaphor of life. A series of images created out of shredded, torn and disassembled denim reconfigured (put back together) to create something more beautiful and inspiring than the original form. Like this collection LIFE has moments that can tear you apart , break you down and ultimately disassemble your being. Sometimes these moments although out of your control are absolutely necessary to help us recenter, find our focus and awaken our creativity to help piece everything back together. To create something new, authentic and inline with your inner self. Something you never thought possible and something that releases the weight holding you back. It was a special group of people who helped me piece Dying for Denim together. It also shows that putting things back together does not need to be a solo journey but one that invites and accepts help. The journey we are on is not one of solo enterprise but rather one of community and collaboration. Thank you to everyone who was a part of this project you all have no idea how grateful I am. Creating the new @ruskhaircare styling products was one of the most exciting and rewarding experiences in my life. We designed a set of styling products that would deliver and give you creative freedom. It was important for me to eliminate the fluff. I have traveled to thousands of salons in my life to teach and one of the biggest takeaways I have had is that no matter how large the line people had there 3-5 favorites and that's what they use. We decided rather then trying to create and sell products you ultimately will not need or use to create a style focused line with the least amount of inventory necessary.
