POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
On Sunday I wrapped up 14 months working on the Wicked 23-25 UK Tour. It’s one of most bonkers drum parts about and was a privilege to get to perform it with such a brilliant team every day.

A massive thanks to all my lovely deps and much love to my bandmates, cast and crew. It was a joy to have so many drummers and friends around the UK come to see the show/sit in with me and to check out this truly amazing and chaotic music.

These jobs are a true honour to take on, however behind the scenes they can be challenging in so many ways. I’m not one to normally express my own difficulties so publicly, however I’ve had a real journey in delving into my own mental health during this tour. This lifestyle can sometimes end up being very isolating and can force you to bury your feelings a bit and can make it hard to deal with whatever life throws at you. Being brave enough to reach out and let yourself be open and vulnerable is so important; every person who says yes to being on tour is making sacrifices to do their job. Keeping one’s mental health and sense of self in check whilst on the road is vital and I’m truly grateful to have had the empathy and support of my dear friends, family and colleagues during some tricky times.

2025 has some amazing musical privileges that I will be getting stuck into, but for now it’s nice to reflect on a wild ride of a tour. I’ll always have a massive soft spot for this show and it’s been great to be a part of it whilst the world is in full Wicked mode with the film coming out. A pleasure to work with everyone in the Wicked world throughout every rehearsal, audition and performance I was involved with.
