From Taipei, a long waited rendezvous.

We welcome @u_n_d_e_r_l_a_b , for a one-night takeover at Chimney. As @cue.yu_tw @kuangtree will bring a guest shift menu that showcases -

“A wind from the Pacific crosses Taiwan. - From the sea to the mountains, it gathers the aromas that define the island" to the heart of Hangzhou.

unDer lab - a lab of drinking experiences, reflecting geographical and culinary cultures of Taiwan through its experimental style underground bar.

Infinite pride & gratitude

Today @chimney_hangzhou is noticed by the world.
On paper, it is #91 Asia’s @50bestbars 2026

To me, it is:
- The 1st cocktail bar I ever opened. (I originally wanted to do yakitori)
- The longest roller coaster I have ever ridden: 7 years and counting.
- The place that kidnapped me into becoming a bartender, then sent me back out into the world.

Getting a city like Hangzhou noticed is not easy.

Looking back over the past 7 years, we have simply kept moving and doing the same thing: deep storytelling through our drinks and believing that every tiny detail matters.

Then, somehow, the world looked over and said:
“Ohhh. There is a place in China called Hangzhou.”

What makes me even happier？
What this recognition can bring: a bigger horizon for our team, more attention for our industry, and a little more light on Hangzhou—the city we love, and the city that has shaped everything we do.

Thank you to the Chimney community, the bartending community, and everyone who has supported us along the way.

At this point, I think it may be a little difficult for me to switch back to yakitori.

Onwards and upwards!

A neighborhood cocktail bar in Penang is coming to a neighborhood cocktail bar in Hangzhou.

This Thursday, we’re welcoming two good friends from Penang — @kelvin_is_boring and @gary_awww from @goodfriendsclubpg

Together they’ll introduce local produce and embed them in a redined and fun experience with their signature Good Friends Hospitality.

Came for the gelato, stay for the cocktails, getting the highest vibration on her birthday.

We asked Chimney team to explain our new menu “Comfort Zone”

We thought we’d get flavor analysis, structure breakdowns…
Instead, we got… feelings. Quite a lot of feelings.

Inside: Accept them as naturally as breathing.
Edge: A familiar melody, but with a little trouble hiding inside.
Outside: Time to let a little chaos in.
Return: About looking back.Layered, familiar, almost déjà vu.

So which zone you belong to?
Also no standard answer.

Maybe somewhere inside this menu and between the sips, you’ll find it. Your “Comfort Zone”, my friend.
