Thank you SO much to everyone who came out and made the launch of BIOPHILIA so special. It was a gorgeous evening with the best people. Thank you again to @jolistoneybatter for being such wonderful hosts ❤ Myself and my exhibition partner @iamgabemarques worked very hard to put this together and are very proud of the pieces on display. We decided to mix our work on the walls to give more of a natural flow, all of which is inspired by our precious natural world. Joining photography and embroidery together is a challenging but a rewarding endeavour. I think seeing these pieces in person is the best way to appreciate the time spent creating them. BIOPHILIA will be up for the next few weeks so please stop in for a look and treat yourself to something delicious from the Joli kitchen while you're there. BIOPHILIA Exhibition Launching Thursday Feb 15th at the gorgeous @jolistoneybatter on Manor Street, Stoneybatter. You're all invited so come along and join us for the launch and a glass of wine from 5pm 🍷 So excited to be exhibiting a range of my photographic and embroidery work along side the magnificent @iamgabemarques paintings and illustrations. We will also have one very special collaboration piece we've been working on to bring our practices and styles together in honor of this show. Both myself and Gabe are highly influenced by the relationships we share with the natural world. Our duo show BIOPHILIA is an intersection of nature and the human experience. Our conflicts and our connections to the wider world and its impact on our inner senses of being. Ever evolving, ever growing. Well that was quite the show! What an exciting and encouraging week it's been. The @artriddler launch took place on Friday night at @studio10dublin and most certainly did not disappoint. I was thrilled to be included and arrived to find a red sticker on my piece 'Epilogue', featuring the talented @farahelle (who released her new album on the same day!) 🎉 After that I couldn't have asked for more, but I did think it would be cool to be in the same room as the winner to see the action. Little did I know I would be right next to them, the incredible @ciana.fitzgerald 👏👏👏 followed by a brief glance at the man himself standing on the bt bridge. 🎭 Such a pleasure to be involved and to meet so many talented artists. It's a beautiful community we have, I'm so lucky to be a small part of it. And we're back! 💃 Apologies for the lack of love since the show but we haven't been able to comment, like or follow - so please take it that we think you're all talented rides. So the show was just brill - nearly 150 people took part. 150! We are just going to have to do it again 🤷‍♀️ So Friday the 8th of May it is. The last two weeks have been pretty mental, I've been meeting people everyday for the #HUMAN series for HIV awareness, I've moved house and been keeping up with regular work.
