Many locals know and love Moyser Road, but it’s an easy one to miss if you haven’t yet ventured to it!

In the heart of Furzedown, this lovely residential street is packed with a series of independent shops and cafes, alongside great convenience stores. Here are some brilliant businesses we wanted to shout out...

Cut the Mustard 🥐 (@cutthemustardcafe)
Founded in 2014, this artisan bakery and specialty coffee shop is a true local favorite. Stop by for freshly baked sourdough, viennoiserie and great coffee!

Naked Loaf (@naked_loaf) & Doughgooders (@d0ughgooders)🍕🍩
This independent Italian pizzeria serves high-quality sourdough pizza. Back this Saturday (16th) at 10am, they’re hosting the Doughgooders pop-up again, so get down early for fresh donuts!

Clarkes Florist 🌺 (@clarkesflorist1980)
Trading here for 50+ years, Clarkes will sadly close this month, with a farewell party on May 16th at 2pm. Wendy is launching a mobile florist later this year, you can support her Crowdfunder via the link in her bio!

Next Door Baker by Kegarmo 🍰 (@kegarmo)
Run by self-taught baker Karina, this lovely spot serves fresh, sweet and savory bakes with many vegan & GF options. Eat in, take away, or order celebratory cakes via her website.

Hazel’s🥞(@hazelscafe_)
The permanent home of ‘Queen of the Crepes’ opened in 2024, serving coffee, crepes and pastries daily. Be sure to check them out on Thursdays for their special Haze-y nights!

Br3wery🍻(@br3wery)
This Beckenham-born brewery’s new taproom serves their own craft beers alongside a great wine selection. Enjoy Naked Loaf pizzas right in the taproom while you sip an IPA or oatmeal stout!

Cafe De Niro 🍳
A quintessential neighborhood café serving comforting British classics like a full English breakfast and hearty jacket potatoes. The perfect spot for a high-quality, reasonably priced meal.

Furzedown Farmers’ Market 👩‍🌾 (@furzedown_farmers_market)
Running the first Saturday of every month (9:30am-1:30pm), this dog-friendly market is run by the PTA to raise money for the school.
