With just over 4 weeks until @sydney_marathon - I thought i’d spice up my book content with a slow 10km run reel🏃🏼‍♀️✨

This training block hasn’t been everything I hoped for, with a tendon injury during the @hbfrun Perth Half Marathon and the winter flu season - I have felt constantly behind where I had hoped to be.

ALAS, I’ve been back running for the last 3 weeks and i’m feeling ready to get to the start line and run SAFELY 🥹

Beyond excited for this wild journey and I’m loving every second thanks to @asicsaustralia @asicsrunning @sydney_marathon @maplemovement @runly.athletics 👟

How can we say Thank You enough??!

Today we picked up Emmi’s new wheels, and it’s something that simply wouldn’t have been possible without every single person who donated, shared our story, came to an event, bought a raffle ticket, or cheered us on from the sidelines.

Together, you helped us raise over $45,000 🤯🙊🧡 Like, WHATTTTTT!!!!!

This journey can often feel incredibly isolating, but the last six months have reminded us that we are anything but alone. We’ve been surrounded by the most generous, kind and supportive community which has been so overwhelming in the best way possible and we will never take that for granted.

A huge thank you to @socialrunclubperth , @fitstop_joondalup, @thehivegym_wangara , @annie_beveridge , @wangara.kia, @idathletic and @embodiedrecruitment for sponsoring us or creating fundraising events that made such a huge difference.

This car is so much more than a vehicle. It’s easier and safer adventures, more independence, more opportunities and the freedom for Emmi to experience even more of the world 🌏 ✨

Now we wait for the call to send it off for its wheelchair accessible conversion. We don’t know exactly when that’ll happen, but after today we’re one BIG step closer.

I highly doubt I will look this full of life at the finish line of my first ever marathon but I am so pumped to experience my second race @sydney_marathon in August.

Forever grateful that my brother and I signed up for our first 12km race back in May, it really lit a fire within us 💖

No pace goals for me this time, just wanting to prove to myself that I can do hard things 🫶🏻

1 Year Of Strength & Stride 🍾

What started as an idea to get a group together for a strength session has turned into something I never could have imagined

In January, the programme had become really busy! It forced me to go full time into coaching! 😆

Me very happy with how it’s all going! 😎

We brought the crew to Park Run in Lake Monger! Great morning 🌅

More testing and the group had grown so much 🔥

More social outings! This one got a bit too competitive 🤣

We had 50 people come to our long run prep for the HBF Run For A Reason! It amazed me how many people turned up 🙌🏻

HBF day! A proud moment for me, had over 35 people hit a PB in the event! One of my proudest coaching goals yet! The sign says it all on how proud this community is 🔥

We were asked to join social events throughout the year! This one was Lulu! 🔥

We celebrated a lot of the S&S birthdays throughout the year! 🎂

We celebrated our one year birthday of strength and stride with a pub run! It was great fun! The last few kms weren’t easy 🤣

From an idea to a community I get to be part of every single week!

Watching this grow has been one of the most rewarding things I’ve done. Not because of the numbers but because of every single person that has joined!
