Legislative Director at California Rifle & Pistol Association

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It was SO fitting that my 200th book sold was to my good friend and Legislative Director of @crpaorg who ALSO happens to have written the most amazing foreword of my book FIFTY STATES IN MY SIGHTS.

I can definitively say that I am where I am today because Rick taught me not only the importance of our Second Amendment Rights, but also our Constitutional Rights in general.

Rick also taught me how important it is to research and vote for your local dog catcher (because there's a good chance they won't stay in that position long).

If you haven't yet, I highly recommend becoming a CRPA member. And there's no better place to sign up than at your local gun show!

Hope to see you tomorrow at the last day of the OC Gun Show in Costa Mesa!!

(Continued) 16 months of hard work in creating a short film/ documentary on Eben and it’s done! We had a private screening with our friends and family to show the film. I wrote the script from a deep place of my heart in contemplating how we are all on borrowed time and what it means to be present as “the real treat is the moment.” I wrote this for anyone who’s ever loved a dog…and it’s all written for anyond who’s ever really loved someone. It was written from a place of working through my anxiety and how to inspire myself to keep going. I hope this film inspires you too.
I am not a professional writer, but this dream was born out of going to see banff film festival every year, where there was always one short film about a guy outside with his dog. In producing this film, it brought up a lot of my self-doubt and helped me grow. Thank you to @landportproductions who did the cinematography/directing/editing and to our composer @scottjohnsoncomposer and of course my dear friend @mylifewithollie who wrote a song for the film and thank you to @michaelmorsephotography for being my personal dog photographer 😂.
Thank you to the friends who drove from LA to San Diego to watch the film and support us. You are our tribe and your support has meant more to me than you’ll ever know. Eben’s film has been submitted to different film festivals so once the submission process is done, we will share it publicly!

What are the past year and a half we have been working with some young filmmakers on a short film about our dog, Eben. This has been Renee‘s main project. I am very proud of her results and sustained efforts. We will be submitting it to multiple film festivals around the country, publicly release it until we are done with this process. We did a small screening with some of our friends earlier this month, and received a standing ovation from our friends and family with tears in their eyes. Our lovely friend Leslie even wrote and performed a song for it! I was slow to realize how rewarding creative project like this could be. Eben, shares with his viewers that you don’t have to be a big dog to do big things and that as long as we are alive, we should live to our fullest. I look forward to sharing this movie with everybody later in 2024.

What an experience! 💯 Honored to be a featured speaker for the “Fix California” event held last week in Newport Beach, CA. I spoke on several important issues including housing and county efforts to help those in need 🙏🏼

Amazing sharing the stage with this group of leaders and influential dignitaries, speaking of love for country/state, civic engagement/integrity and AMERICA 📣

Special thanks to @richardgrenell former U.S. State Department spokesperson, former Ambassador to Germany, and former Director of National Intelligence for all that you do, and the opportunity 🇺🇸

Setting the Record Straight on Gun Laws in California. Separating Fact from Fiction and Knowing your rights. The event was hosted at the Santa Ana Elks Lodge by the Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce. Speaker was Rick Travis California Rifle Pistol Association Director of Development. This event was very informative as it allows us to learn about the constitutional amendments that make up our gun rights. Education is key and this meeting exceeded my expectation.
