Meet the Peer Mentors!

Group 1- The Lavish Librarians

Myles is a Senior from Florence, Alabama, majoring in history with secondary general social studies teacher education. He is a member of the men's basketball team, the Black Student Union, and serves as a Huntingdon Ambassador. His favorite part of orientation as a freshman was getting to know new students, dancing during the silent disco night, and playing in the Scarlet and Grey Games. He loves the annual Hawk Madness event to kick off the basketball seasons as well. He recommends that freshmen not be afraid to try new things.

Brianna is a sophomore from Midland City, Alabama. She is majoring in Exercise Science: Pre-Physical Therapy and is a part of the Presidential Scholars Program. Her favorite part of Orientation is the Scarlet and Grey Games!

Houghton Memorial Library’s Caroline Slawson Commons area is open 24/7 for all students. The library houses a coffee shop in the basement and offers many study carrels and study rooms for individual and group study sessions, as well as assets including books, music, movies, and games for students to borrow or use in the library. The second floor also houses the Staton Center for Academic Enrichment and the Access Services office.
