My DREAM came true getting to make @sauna.sessions.show and I can’t believe we did it and the first episode drops THIS THURSDAY on YouTube!!! To know me is to know I am obsessed with saunas, and after a million bizarre conversations in my local rec centre sauna, I knew it was the perfect place to host an interview series! I am so grateful for the team at @headon.agency for making my sweaty little idea possible and the reality better than I could have hoped, and @found__space for our gorgeous sauna. My goal was to make a funny show obvs, but also to make a show where you couldn’t look perfect or give the perfect PR answer (because your brain is boiling), and put something out that is the opposite of curation culture. After seeing my red and soaked face in all the eps, I may live to regret that, but I hope you enjoy seeing some of your favourites like you never have before. I loved shooting these episodes and am deeply in love with all of the guests who really went above and beyond for me jumping on board this vision. a few weeks post @sxswsydney and i feel like i’ve just come down from the high of the week. speaking at an event of that calibre and among the lineup of podcasting icons curated by @mikcreativestudio honestly felt like a lot of pressure. a few of my reflections on the other side: ❣️this year has been a huge battle against imposter syndrome, especially representing such a beloved global brand. but, if it’s scary it means you’re growing and being nervous means you care. the only way to get better is by doing it. ❣️having been on the (independent) creator side before this role has given me unique insight into where spotify sits in a multi-platform strategy. we are in the era of independents, and how spotify is supporting these creators to grow audiences, build community and diversify revenue through video is something i’m so proud and excited to be a part of. ❣️i’m endlessly grateful to work with such innovative and thoughtful creators and love any chance to nerd out about their strategy, community building and risks that are paying off for them. i’m equally grateful for my team and @prithi_ who keeps pushing me to challenge myself but always with her unwavering support. also met and fan girl’d over so many cool people doing cool things like @sophie_estelle putting together such an epic lineup over the week, @sophgreiner @bellafilacuridi building @homeofdome and communities like @hotsmartrich aussie angels led by @brookekm_ ‼️‼️‼️ now back to semi regular life programming and if we’re also connected on linkedin, i’m so sorry 🥲
