👩🏼‍🦲👩🏻‍🦲 Alopecia Retreat 👩🏻‍🦲👩🏼‍🦲
One of the best things I’ve ever done for myself was attending a retreat for women with alopecia.
Simply amazing.
I first saw an ad from @headup_movement in a Facebook group. It featured two beautiful bald women with such a powerful presence and confidence. The ad invited women with alopecia to join a 4-day retreat in Portugal. I was instantly hooked, and I decided to go.
I traveled alone by plane for the very first time in my life and met 13 incredible women who quickly became friends. I was both nervous and excited. The hosts welcomed us as soon as we arrived, and the connection was there from the very beginning.
For four days, we got to know each other and ourselves on a deeper level. We shared our stories, worked through important topics, and connected with people who truly understood what living with alopecia feels like.
Some of the women had lived with alopecia for most of their lives. Some had developed it as adults. And some, like me, had only been on this journey for about a year. We all had our own struggles and supported each other through everything that bubbled up to the surface.
If you ever get the opportunity to do something like this, do it.

Everything I had been carefully dreaming of for many years started taking shape last summer when I met @sigridsetsaas. After 10 months of intense planning and taking every goosebumps moment as a YES, we were ready to welcome 12 women from different countries across Europe.

From the moment our group gathered at beautiful @moinhosvelhos, it became clear to me that we can plan as much as we like, but in the end, it is the group that creates the experience.

Thank you to each and every one of you for showing up with no masks, just open hearts, ready to share, connect, learn, and inspire one another. Seeing you determined to show up in the world as you are and shine your true light fills my heart completely. 💫✨
