We had so much fun tonight at @terrain_styers for our tasting! Although I don’t subscribe to the idea that our wedding is going to be the “single best day of our lives,” I am really excited to celebrate with our friends and family in March! 💕

And sometimes I still can’t help but pinch myself that I get to walk through life with this guy by my side. I’ve never had a partner like him before, and I am so lucky he feels the same way about me. 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨

After years of accepting less, I finally decided to accept the love that I deserve. 😍

Surprise, I’m married!! In true Jes fashion, I had a secret marriage before the marriage and we eloped on 7/10. We’re in Puerto Rico on our elopement honeymoon. 💕 Full wedding still to come in March.

Every day I feel so lucky that this man walked into my life with his short shorts, long hair, fanny pack, and puffco. Sometimes things really do happen when they’re meant to.

Getting married was never a priority to me; I saw it as just one more way the patriarchy still had its fingers wound tightly around our society. And then, I met Kyle. When I had lost hope in men, he was a beacon in the dark. He effortlessly modeled what I had always hoped was possible but never experienced - someone who is in touch with his emotions; someone who is capable of deep emotional intelligence; someone who listens and observes more than he acts or speaks. He is always growing and evolving to become a better person, a better partner, and a better man. And every day I look at him and feel amazed that I get to walk through life with him by my side. I’ve loved before but never like this. And I feel compelled to share our love with our entire community by bringing everyone together to be by our side while we share vows & proclaim our love loudly. We’ll have good days and bad days but baby, I always promise to love you loudly every day. 💕7️⃣ March 27th, 2027 can’t come soon enough.

Happy Holidays?

The theme was “this year has been really hard, but at least we have each other.”

Jes came into my life as a metamour. We no longer have a relationship with the person who introduced us, which is really hard, but I am so grateful that our relationship flourished. She has been really kind and supportive. We’ve been able to share a lot of our insecurities and vulnerabilities and still show up for each other to share joy as well as grief. We have a similar vision of a future with a queer little polycule, and we’re building that together.

Jes started seeing Kyle this spring. He’s sweet and funny and puts her first, but he also works hard and makes time for his music. He shows up for her, but admires her for who she is outside of what she does for him.

Life is weird and wild and unpredictable. Jes invited both of us to move in back in September. We’ve all been through so much in the last few months and while life has handed us our fair share of stress, we’ve handled it as well as we have because we’ve been able to go through it together. We’re very lucky and very privileged to share what we have with one another.

There’s many ways to participate in ethical non-monogamy. For some people, it’s simply about having more sexual partners, and that’s valid. For me, it’s about exploring love, romance, and family beyond what’s “normal” and socially acceptable.

There are other people I can think of who I wish could be in this photo with us. I can mourn the relationships that didn’t work out while still being grateful for the ones that have. I don’t know what surprises are in store for next year, but I am happy to be making a home with these two while also building a life all my own.
