Y’all, sometimes the best adventures are the ones where you park the car and just start exploring!

We spent an afternoon in downtown Burnsville, NC, and found some pretty cool little businesses along the way!

🥪 Garden Deli — We kicked things off with lunch on the town square. Cozy country-style dining inside, a beautiful garden patio outside, and a hot ham & Swiss melt that hit the spot!

🍯 Mountain Time on Main Street — Homemade-style canned goods, jams, honey, flavored olive oils, handmade gifts, and even Italian shoes! Talk about a little bit of everything!

🛍️ Something Special Gift Shop — Home decor, clothing, jewelry, Christmas goodies, and a connected toy store! And yes, I came home with the softest pajama pants. 😂

🎨 Hearth Glass & Gallery — This was the highlight of our day! We actually got to watch glass artists creating their work! Even better, this business provides artists with workspace and a showroom to sell their handmade creations.

Four stops. One afternoon. And a whole lot of reasons to spend some time exploring this little mountain town!

If you’re planning a trip through Western North Carolina, don’t just drive past Burnsville. Stop and see what you discover!

Which of these four places would you visit first?

What a wash this weekend turned out to be. Literally. Wet wood. Sideways rain inside the oven 🤦🏻‍♂️. Here’s the plan for next week. You can catch me @birdfootbvl Thursday night from 4:30-8:30. Friday night I’ll be moved over next door by our friends @hearthglass also from 4:30-8:30. Saturday should be a really awesome afternoon parked at the Shiftleft Fly-In out in Marion. If ya like airplanes, cars, pizza and need something to do Saturday afternoon come check it out from 11-2!!!! This week until springtime while we are in the slow season around here you’ll be able to get my pizzas Thursday-Saturday as I take some time to work on a few other projects. Much love always for the support from all of you! Hope to see y’all this week!!!
