Better late than never 😅 here’s a look back at a concert I’d been eagerly awaiting: Drake Milligan @drakemilligan whom I was lucky enough to see near Antwerp on September 6th 🤩. And I wasn't disappointed!

I don't recall exactly how I discovered him, but since I love country music 🤠, I think it was a chance find that I instantly connected with.

Beyond his vocal tone and the fantastic band backing him, Drake is a true showman 👌! He dances, jumps around, cracks jokes, and constantly interacts with the crowd 🤪. It was amazing! The public was ON FIRE 🔥

I also discovered two great duos that opened the show (what a voice!) : Heartland Drive @heartlanddrive and @outpostdrive Outpost Drive as well as a superb outdoor concert venue in Belgium: @oltrivierenhof OLT Rivierenhof, which boasts perfect acoustics and excellent organization. A big thank you to my mom @laurencegrossemy for coming along, even with her broken foot ❤️!

I’ve made a decision.

Over the years I’ve made music with different bands, under different names, and in all kinds of different styles.

I’ve realized that I’m happiest creating when there are no boundaries, when I can just follow an idea wherever it wants to go.

And that made this decision feel pretty simple.

From now on, I’ll be making and releasing music under my own name: Steven Carlos Alexander.

Everything I’ve done before is still part of it. Shtevil, Heartland Drive, and all the music that came with them. When I play live, those songs will still be there, together with all the new music that’s coming.

It gives me the freedom to keep exploring, keep creating, and just see where the music takes me.

Different sounds, different songs, old and new. All under one name.

Steven Carlos Alexander.
