Holy Homelessness - Part 1

Holy shit, homeless!
How dare they, this is Sacrilege!
Muted voices behind glass resonate
As their vehicles pass an encampment
Where ostracized beings live on percolated dreams
Where everything seems to move slowly
Never for the better.
Seems like all were given a life sentence with no parole
Becoming instantly trapeze fliers and tightrope walkers
Stray baby carriages and shopping carts
Bags that hold uniquely precious objects
Cans and plastic barrels on wheels
Bicycle morgues protrude from tarps and tents
Shoes, rags, tarps, prayer flags, bottles,
And a multitude of what seems useless objects
Hoist these allotted lands for humans on the fringe
Decorate the scenery staging limitless imagination
Of these humans and harsh hearted survivors
That tread hand in hand with solitude and pain in the soul
Some are abandoned hallucinogenic opioid filled PTSD stricken soldiers
Roaming imaginary urban battlefields
Then there are Wildfire refugees
That have become the climate change displaced
Evicted tenants cry broken hearted drifter’s hymns
Wild wind surfers and ferocious fearless corner poets
Become brave caretakers and inconspicuous societies renegades,
Indomitable migrants plow concrete to root themselves in new lands
Grey haired philosophers recite odes for continuity
Musicians snare solitude tunes in their songs
Felines and canines live up to colossal faithfulness
All these beings embrace resiliency taking it to excellence
Water is almost inexistent, but alcohol flows seamlessly in these uncharted lands
Sometimes warm teas and hot coffees zing souls

first haircut since the plaguetimes. in this unusual time of great identity loss and restructuring, it's nice to feel even a little bit more like myself again. even if it is something as simple as the reflection in the mirror. thanks @heartzilla_love 🌈💎
