There’s a difference between being guided and being posed.

Heather and I will step in when you need direction, then give you room to settle into the moment and be yourselves.

We might find the best light, make a small adjustment or give you something simple to focus on. From there, we let the two of you take over.

The goal is not to manufacture a moment.

It’s to create enough space for a real one to happen.

Because beautiful photographs should still feel like you.

There are so many elements of planning a wedding day that can be stressful.

Which traditions or trends to include in the day.
Family and friends’ opinions and expectations.
The pressure to make everything feel special, beautiful and fun all at once.

It can be a lot.

Our hope is that the photography experience feels like one less thing pulling at you.

We’ll help you plan your timeline thoughtfully, guide you when needed and keep the day moving with calm energy.

But underneath all of that, the goal is simple:

To help the day feel like it belongs to you.

And to photograph it in a way that feels true to that.

There’s something so special about the way Haley & Chris show up for each other: with deep care and genuine support. They also have such fun energy. (See: the pool jump!) It was a weekend full of warmth, joy and lots of love 🤍

You can carry it all yourself, sure. But the real flex is knowing you don't have to when you literally can't.

The first two weeks of my med summer, in San Diego.

The real luxury of a wedding day is having space to actually feel it.

Space to take a breath before the ceremony.
Space to hug your parents without rushing.
Space to sneak away together for a few quiet minutes after you’re married.

That kind of space rarely happens by accident.

It comes from thoughtful planning, clear communication and a team that understands when to guide and when to step back.

That’s what Heather and I care so much about.

Not just creating beautiful photographs and films, but helping the day feel calm enough for you to be fully in it.

Years from now, many of the details of your wedding day will fade away in your memory.

When you look at the photographs though, so much comes flooding back.

You remember how it felt to be there.

The nervousness. The relief. The pure joy.

Heather and I want to photograph you in all of your glory on that day.

The real you… even when if it’s messy, emotional or imperfect.

Because that messiness is the human journey. And so much of modern life is trying to smooth that out, erase it or replace it with something curated and controlled.

We’re there to give you gentle guidance when you need it, and then create space for you to be present, to really soak it all in—that’s what creates photographs that aren’t just gorgeous, they whisk you back to the emotions of that moment.

Instead of “let’s go take sunset photos,” how about:
Let’s give the two of you a chance to step away for a moment…

By this point in the day, you’re married.
Your favorite people are nearby, reveling in cocktail hour or the reception.

You get a few quiet minutes together to b r e a t h e and take in where you are in your life—together.

Sometimes Heather and I won’t say much at all.
We’ll simply let you soak in the moment, the glowy light and each other.

That’s why, to me, photography is only part of the job.
The bigger part (and the one that isn’t talked about enough) is helping you feel present enough to truly experience it all as it’s happening.

That’s what makes the most meaningful photographs.

our wedding day highs don’t come from perfectly planned, flawless conditions.

They don’t come from model-like poses or the ideal light.

They come from a quieter, less obvious place.

What I love most about photographing weddings is the balance between the structure of a really good timeline… and surrendering to being in the moment.

Yes, I’ll share guidance around posing, as needed.

Yes, we’ll plan intentionally so there’s space to breathe. (This is something I’m so passionate about—I’ve seen time and time again how it allows you to soak in the celebration around you—otherwise it’ll just fly by.)

But when the day actually unfolds, there’s beauty in the randomness.

In the chaos.

In the in-between moments.

The tears you struggle to hold back.

The looks of joy between family members who don’t often find themselves in the same room.

The shared humanity and kaleidoscope of emotions at a wedding—no matter how perfectly executed—is what makes it so special and rare.

So give yourself permission to let go and embrace the day in all of its wild glory.

Heather and I will be there to support you and preserve all the magical, perfectly imperfect moments.
