POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I’m thrilled to be part of this amazing anthology out today!!💜

It features my story, “Don’t Go Into Woods”. Though not an actual retelling, it has strong Red Riding Hood and The Woman in the Woods vibes. It’s the perfect read for spooky season. (Link in bio)

I’m thrilled to be part this anthology with so many other wonderful authors! It’s a perfect read for spooky season!!🕸️🪾📖⬇️

In this collection from The Red Herrings Society, you’ll find stories that reach into the dark corners we usually walk past. A teenage girl accepts a ride from a killer. A old woman can no longer hold back the ghosts that haunt her home. A property manager disappears, and the only one qualified to search for her is a vampire who doesn’t want to get involved.

These stories span genres and styles, from literary fiction to thriller, paranormal to fantasy, romance to mystery. But every one of them lives in the same territory: the space just beyond what we can see. The things we bury. The things we ignore. The things that wait quietly until we have no choice but to turn around and face them.

THANK YOU to @thewriterssancutary , @bridgetteohare , @cjredwine , and @maryweberauthor for the cover, editing and the behind the scenes work they’ve done.🩶💜🩶

Some secrets stay hidden because we’re afraid to look. Others stay hidden because they’re waiting.

Some of these shadows are supernatural. Some are deeply, unsettlingly human. All of them will follow you home.

What Hides in the Shadows is a multi-genre anthology featuring voices from the Red Herrings Society, a community of writers who believe the best stories are the ones that refuse to let you look away.

“Shifting Vapors” - Although Virga visits Tropos World Park almost daily, envious of the park rangers’ ability to create pathways among the clouds, when she reveals her accursed talent to save a child, she knows she’ll never be welcome at Tropos again.

I spent last week at a writing retreat in Savannah with @thewriterssanctuary. We stayed in a mansion, wrote in this Agatha Christie Tea House, ate amazing grilled cheese sandwiches courtesy of @heatherclindahl It was pretty much a dream come true!

Reels just suggested this collection of pics from a few years back at the Writer's Sanctuary writing retreat, when @cjredwine was gifted a llama spa mask and proceeded to menace the I.T. guy.

I kind of love it. Nice job, Reels. 😂
