Heading into fall equinox rested and rejuvenated from an incredible summer. Beach bonfires, book launches, sunsets, reunions with decades long friends, welcoming new additions to the FRAmily. It was truly a time to be alive in NYC. Thankful for this little life we’ve created. Feeling grounded, restored and purposeful heading into fall and honestly couldn’t have celebrated fall equinox in a better place. Hint in the last slide.

Cupcakes, cookies and delicious treats to celebrate just seeing a few friends on a Saturday afternoon. Posting hasn’t been on my mind as these last months have been taken up with a new stage on life - that of being a grandparent. So happiness is all about the little delicious things in life that bring joy, whether a cupcake or a baby’s smile. 🌻🌻🌻

It’s impossible to talk about Cuba without talking about contradiction. The beauty is real. The culture is undeniable. The warmth of the people stays with you. 🇨🇺

And so do the constraints.

Decades of embargo have shaped what and who enters the island and so have internal systems, where access, resources, and opportunity are not evenly distributed.

You feel it in the gaps. Where bureaucracy, control, and unequal access shape daily life.

But what stayed with me most was what endured.

Creativity. Ingenuity. Generosity. Community. An experience that many countries couldn’t dream of giving visitors. Shaped by Cuba’s people and natural beauty.

The ability to build a life rich in spirit, if not always in resources.

From the opening in the sugarcane fields, I was mesmerized. @badbunnypr brought the world to Puerto Rico. Most viewed halftime show ever!

As a New Yorker, growing up Boricua culture was a part of the fabric that makes NYC. From my favorite spot for pernil, to Rosie Perez’s voice and wondering whose auntie is going to hook you up with a batch of coquito around the holidays.

San Juan — and other spots around the island like Rincon and Cabo Rojo became favorite frequent family visits. I even decided to spend one birthday trip alone for a few days on the island. Ricky Martin danced acrossed our TV screens in the 90s/ early aughts saying “Come to my Puerto Rico” and we said “bet!” Dtmf gives me the feels thinking about our visits there.

Heading to #SanJuan with @teampixel we dove into the food and culture, learned about bomba y plena and thanks to @carlosecalderon felt what was happening right now in San Juan.

That stage, that show was so beautiful, so powerful, so culturally rich. Who wouldn’t want to embrace / be apart of so much joy, love and strength?

I’m a mamma’s girl and before having Blue, we regularly took mother / daughter trips around the globe. I even wrote about it for Popsugar! Looking back, I don’t think I gave as much gravitas to how much that dynamic would change postbaby. Though tantrums and all, my mom looooooves seeing new places with her granddaughter. BUT I am very happy that we had one last big hurrah for my mom’s birthday while I was pregnant. I know you’ve heard of babymoons.

Pregnancy is a threshold. You feel it in your body, but also in your relationships. To say my mom first felt Blue kicking over a live band during happy hour in Grenada is pretty magical (and a hint to how turn up her granddaughter will be!)

Even if it’s not your mom, your aunt, godmother, grandma, sister best friend.
Have that last hurrah with your favorite passenger seat princess before giving birth.

Before the baby comes, everyone tells you where to go and what to do.

Instead of a traditional babymoon, I took one last trip as a daughter — to Grenada — with my favorite passenger princess: @heatherknows. Not for advice. Not for preparation. But for presence.

Consider this your sign:

Damn! #2016 was A LOT. I was in over 17 cities and 10 countries!

I started and ended 2016 in a place that is still my happy place and was so much so at the time, Sayulita, Mexico. It was a year of profound loss — the death of a cousin who was like my brother — and extreme wins that I bullrushed through and didn’t take time to appreciate. It was a year of firsts. Ziplines, helicopter rides, major bylines and styling jobs. I spent a lot of time in airports and when not a lot of time on sets! I styled my first big advertorial as head stylist with @instylemagazine @theofficialpandora in no small part to angels and mentors like @taibeau
My friend @violetta trusted me with her look and @meghan trusted me with her blog! I really dived into @glam4good and found an outlet to become the change I wanted to see in the world. I voted, worried and had some of the same outlook that I have today. Replace Muslim with…
Oh and I was tricked by an ex into doing a 10k boot camp run through London in ivy park cute workout gear and dunks (I thought it was pub run!) no phone so I couldn’t even cab it home, I had to just finish it!

Our Best Family Travels of 2025 ✨

2025 asked us to keep moving, and we answered together.

We traveled together, and sometimes rested apart.
Family trips that made room for joy, discovery, and restoration too.

From city pools and countryside mornings to ice skates, tea cups, lake swims, and one very big airplane seat milestone, these weren’t just trips, they were chapters.

Grateful for the places that held us, and the tiny moments in between that made them home. ✈️🤍

Slides 1-2: Forte Village in #Sardinia brought us turquoise waters, five star meals and a room that opened into the ocean. Michele and I also joined Blue in the water park and on the slides. True family fun.

Slides 3-4: Four Seasons Milano was my go-to baby pit stop and my place for respite and refresh in #Milano. The kids menu at Zelo now makes it Blue’s favorite too!

Slides 5-6: South Tyrol at Hotel Hubertus, altitude, pristine landscapes, and deeper breaths. Also, Kronplatz is very family friendly.

Slides 7-8: Rome in all its grandeur at Anantara Palazzo Naiadi. A facial at the spa. Fun Roman nights. Space to reset.

Slides 9-10: Tuscany at Il Borro, countryside mornings and unhurried days. We even snuck in an amazing cellar wine tasting while she napped! And Blue made NYC friends!

Slide 10-11: speaking of… FRamily time in the Hamptons made all the more special hearing Blue telling Artie “Artie, vieni qua!”
The Hamptons, familiar skies and grounding pauses, and decades old laughter.

Slides 12-13: Special moments in London, exploring mews, afternoons and tea cups, seen through Blue’s eyes.

Slides 14-15: 3 gen trip. Florence at The Place, small moments that felt like home.

Slide 16: Ice skates and winter laughter at Portrait Milano.

Slide 17: Torre Sponda in Positano, where beauty needs no translation. But Torre Sponda is the perfect place to rent for the family.

Slide 18-19: Paris is always a good idea at Carita

Slide 20: Lake Garda has turned me into a lake person. Our family favorite weekend getaway.

And somewhere in between it all, a milestone at 30,000 feet, Blue in her very own seat.

It’s been a summer of memories. Things that make me happy as scribbled in my journal….

Spread love its the Brooklyn way.
First impromptu playdate as a mom. Blue told our neighbor I was making cookies… wasn’t true.
Watched my husband gossip across the street with neighbors decades his senior.
Hanging out in Williamsburg with friends made under the Tuscan sun.
Watched all my relatives fall in love and be supremely entertained by Blue’s personality.
Barbeque flare ups
Blue teaching everyone the meaning of piscina.
Bonfires on the beach.
Date nights at cool restaurants.
Learning the hustle on Brooklyn streets
Weekends out east with the FRamily and celebrating milestones.
Blockparties and carnivals, mornings at the easel.
Home. Community. ♥️♥️♥️ New York, I love you.
