Sunday Life magazine is back today and we’re kicking off 2026 with a visit to the Melbourne home of incredible multi-disciplinary maker Suzie Stanford @suziestanford. You’ve all likely had close contact with her beautifully elaborate brass cluster door handles at @flowersvasette and @jardanfurniture stores (to name just a couple), as well as admired her incredible upholstered furniture in patchwork tapestries and vintage fabrics. Suzie’s home is as sunny and warm as she is - full of personality and joyous pops of colour. See @sundaylifeau with Ruth Gemmell on the cover in @theageaustralia @sydneymorningherald or online.

Today in @sundaylifeau interior stylist Bea Lambos @beaandcostyle shows us through her beautifully renovated Victorian villa. There are loads of stunning styling moments in every room and Bea shares her decorating mantra “Take time getting to know where the beauty lies in your home, then plan your decorating additions and subtractions after a season or two”.

For anyone who has been wowed by the floral artistry that is created by @le_salon_aux_fleurs_armadale, the beauty of its owners Stephen Maccora and Peter Diamantopoulos’ home will come as no surprise. It’s heaven. Layered with colour, pattern, flowers and love, it’s a really special one so don’t miss all four pages in @sundaylifeau today. Xhnk

I absolutely loved watching gorgeous @fleurharris transform her run-down (but full of promise) weatherboard home - as did the thousands and thousands of you who were equally invested in her updates on the highs and lows of building a dream. I was utterly charmed by Fleur’s vision, dedication and commitment to creating a whimsical, heartfelt home and was lucky enough to visit mid-reno, then again to style the shoot that appears in the new issue of @homebeautiful. Just like her famous illustrations and designs, there is so much detail in every room. She is also a scream - so much fun to hang out with. I highly recommend getting a copy to read @brittanysmith_writing’s story and to see the rest of the glorious photos by @armellehabib. Fab job Fleur 😍🧚🏼✨ hnk x

I’m playing catch-up, with the most sublime 1940s apartment update I’ve seen in a long time. When Peter Frith wanted to create an elegant and cohesive backdrop for his considerable collection of furniture, art and antiques he called on the equally considerable talents of interior designer Penelope Scott. Together they took this tired ex-rental and layered it with gentle colour and dramatic wall coverings that really don’t feel too dramatic - they feel just right. Being an unusually configured apartment, there were plenty of challenges but the attention to detail by Penelope and Peter has resulted in a particularly cohesive and unique home that serves to highlight his incredible eye for collecting beauty, without one feature dominating others. I could spend my life snooping around Melbourne’s 1930s and ‘40s apartment blocks so this was a very nice day. This home appeared in @sundaylifeau on May 24 and can be seen online at smh.com.au.

Today in @sundaylifeau we visit the beautiful inner-Melbourne home of Tanya Hansen. Tanya engaged @simonehaag to help create a “calm and welcoming aesthetic” and team Haag, including Design and Production Lead Cindy Phillips worked closely with Tanya, even traveling OS to source pieces, resulting in this sanctuary of layers, textures and unique objets. What a pleasure it was to spend time there, with @armellehabib making magic on the 📷. Shout out to @natashaallencreative too Xhnk

The Melbourne home of artist Moya Delany @moyadelany_art graces the pages of @sundaylifeau today. Moya, her partner Jason Beusst and their son Monty live within an ever changing gallery-like space, with artworks set against a backdrop of dramatic wall colours and lime-washed floors. It’s a wonderfully creative and heartfelt home - hope you love it! @sundaylifeau @theageaustralia @sydneymorningherald 📸 @armellehabib 🖋️ @heathernetteking Xhnk
