When a LEGEND speaks, you listen! 🌟❤️

I am beyond honored and deeply touched by these kind words from the one and only @sharonglessreal , the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actress and iconic star of #cagneyandlacey about my one woman show “Holy Shiitake! A Wok Star is Born 🎭✨🍄

To have someone I’ve admired for so many years experience my show and share such a heartfelt testimonial means the absolute world to me. 🙌

This show is my love letter to my mother, my family, and the messy, funny, sometimes painful journey of finding my own voice. Knowing that this story resonates with people, especially someone as extraordinary as Sharon, is truly a gift. ❤️🥟

Thank you, Sharon, for your generosity, encouragement, and support. I’m still pinching myself! 🙏

🎭 Holy Shiitake! A Wok Star Is Born - Stay tuned for upcoming shows 🤩

The hair is bigger. The wok is hotter. And the drama is bitchin 💗⚡️🥢

Why the ’80s makeover? Because HOLY SHIITAKE! A Wok Star Is Born takes you right back to my high school years in the ’80s in Mpls with big hair, questionable fashion choices, teenage angst and all. 😂

Come along on September 28th at 8pm @whitefire_theatre as I wok my way through growing up Chinese American in Minneapolis, navigating high school, identity, family expectations and life with my force-of-nature mother, Leeann Chin—with plenty of laughs, food, family secrets and generational trauma along the way.

Such a fun night catering Shari’s Mahjong Birthday Party with a menu inspired by the flavors of Taiwan & Hong Kong—and, of course, plenty of Lychee Martinis to keep the tiles moving! 🀄️🍸

The celebration also featured adorable Mahjong cookies that looked just like tiles, made by @everafter.bakery along with Wok Star’s signature gourmet dipped fortune cookies filled with lucky custom messages. 🍪🥠✨
