Photo and video dump from Saturday night…

Man, what a great time at Gruene Hall! Amazing crowd! The night air was brisk, the band was hot. Many Shiner beers were consumed.

Thanks to everyone who came out for the show. We’re into multi-generational attendance now. (Thanks Rylanders!)

Loved having our friend and “mein bruder” Owen Temple as our special guest.

Till next time!

We got to drop by and see our friend Mike Nugent at Brazos Running Company in CSTAT last week. He’s such a great guy and has an awesome store…anything your feet need for running, walking and fitness…and more!
He set us up with some cool new kicks.
Thank you Mike!

Hello all! I’m excited to say that a project that my mom and my aunt have been working on for two years has finally been published. It’s a beautiful children’s book. Each letter (it’s an ABC book) is accompanied by exceptional and whimsical poetry and gorgeous illustrations. The creation of this book has been a true labor of love. I hope you will consider sharing this post on Instagram, TikTok, and X.

A little rain never kept a pure country crowd at home. 🌧️🚲

For our 10th ride, 145 riders registered.

The most we’ve ever had in 10 years of riding for Sloan.

The skies opened up on Saturday, and y’all came anyway.

Some of you pedaled every soggy mile. Some of you swapped the ride for a breakfast burrito and a dry spot under the pavilion, then stayed for the party.

You were here, and you made the day.

By lunchtime, the rain had finally let up. Then Max and Heather Stalling picked up their instruments and brought the house down. 🎶

We’re still humming.

Sloan used to say if we’re not having fun, what’s the point? Saturday, rain and all, we had a ball.

Dear friends traveled from near and far, more of you than we’ve ever seen, just to be here and celebrate with us. That means the world to our family.

And because of you, we’re on track to raise more than ever before for the Caddo, Hubbard Creek, and Wayland Volunteer Fire Departments. 💛

We’ll share the final total as soon as it’s in.

To every rider, volunteer, sponsor, vendor, and neighbor who braved the weather with us: thank you.

The @bryantxsongwriterfest is finally here this weekend, and I’ve been looking forward to this one for a long time!

I wrote a little about why I’m excited, from getting to see one of my all-time favorites, Radney Foster, to the incredible lineup, the VIP experience, the BVLive.com-sponsored buskers throughout downtown, and the pretty huge honor of getting to host the Stafford stage both days.

It’s going to be a heck of a weekend in downtown Bryan.

Read my full thoughts, and then come on out and experience it for yourself.

Gearing up for the @waydowninmississippi festival has me thinking a lot about Belize last summer.

Max and Heather’s little festival down there “We Ain’t Drinking Alone” was one of those experiences that’s hard to explain unless you were there. By the end of it, it felt a lot less like a festival and more like a bunch of people who went on vacation together.

And that’s what I’m looking forward to most about my second trip to WDIM! It’s a completely different version of the same kind of magic. We just trade the resort in the Caribbean for shacks in the Mississippi Delta, add more great songwriters, some gumbo, a campfire, the unmentionable, and a little Delta dirt. 😂

I didn’t really understand before I met Jason how quickly a weekend built around music can turn strangers into people you genuinely look forward to seeing again, and again, and a little more so each time. But, I do now.

Can’t wait to see these faces again “way down” in Mississippi. ❤️
