A year of beginnings and endings,
of becoming and unbecoming,
all sheathed in gratitude.

I asked God to keep (and to bring) people into my life who would invite me to stretch, to grow, to become.

People who would challenge my mind, my body, and my spirit.

People unafraid to dig a little deeper,
to ask the harder questions,
to see me beyond the surface.

I asked God to keep sharpening my view of self.
To make it clearer, softer, more honest.
More introspective.
More understanding.
To teach me how to look inward without turning away from what I found.

And through it all,
I am thankful for the soft places to land.

For the people and spaces that made room for me to exhale. For the safety of family and friends.
For the kind of love that lets you

The moment you stop chasing + start attracting, things, people, and opportunities that are for you start showing up and showing out.

Every single person/thing that I’m pouring into is also pouring back into me. Cup running over rather than empty these days.

A few highlights from January:

☕️ @malcolmvoltaire + @kiyalacey of @coffeewasblack allowed me to curate my own coffee drink, ‘Carolina Blue’ during their @minorfigures collaboration!!!! The drink sold out the first day. Grateful for such a divine opportunity! Thank you to every one who pulled up + supported! ‘Carolina Blue’ will stay on the menu in February! So pull up on Sundays + Mondays from 9am - 2pm at @grantparkmarket !!!

❤️ Supporting + celebrating my woman (@briioriginal_ )! Watching this woman flourish after everything she’s endured is such a beautiful view. Journeying with you is my favorite thing these days! Even when you don’t like the coffee shops that I’m dragging you to. 🙃 My woman started @pickyourfeelsflorals in October and shes booked + busy and I love to see it!

🎙️ Being the producer of my best friend’s (@everything24karis ) podcast, ‘Fashion Files’. Season one was such a success!!! We landed our first sponsor for season two and we can’t wait to share with you guys! Go listen, subscribe, and get caught up before season two drops!

Move your egos to the side. Move yourself to the side. Less of you and more of God. Less of you and more community. Lead with love + kindness always. Start attracting + stop chasing. And when it’s not in alignment or they start playing in your face, remove it/them. There’s no room for nonbelievers, haters or naysayers in your life right now. Lastly, stay true. Stay you.

I'm 39 y'all! Even though my 38th year came with some turbulence and unexpected sharp turns, it also took REALLY good care of me and my loved ones. I honestly have nothing but gratitude for the last 12 months. And I have so much faith in the universe right now, that I have no doubts that my 39th year will shine even brighter. 🥰

Thank you to everyone who spent time with me and my family, and filled the last year of my life with so many beautiful memories. Thank you for every single wish I received on my birthday. And thank you in advance for joining me in another year of LIVING! Love y'all so so much! 💝
