My journey of creating sneakers began 2.5 years ago, and it has been quite an experience. From the moment I discovered the possibility of crafting my own shoes, my passion for designing and developing unique sneakers took hold. It involved a significant amount of trial and error, along with plenty of frustration. As I constructed a couple of shoes, I quickly realized their flaws and recognized the need to acquire the necessary shoemaking skills and tools.

Initially, I experimented with the Jordan 1 and TS Low silhouettes but found myself not entirely inspired by them. I shifted my focus towards the Dunk silhouette. Gradually, I grew more proficient in assembling them, which prompted me to revisit my aspiration of designing my own shoe.

Some of you may recall that I shared various design concepts in my story, your input played a crucial role in shaping the final prototype.

Allow me to introduce you to my original creation, the "Quartz," which draws inspiration from a blend of different silhouettes. The name pays homage to Siesta Key, a truly exquisite island located in Sarasota, Florida. The island boasts some of the finest sand, predominantly composed of quartz. Experiencing its mesmerizing beauty is truly captivating, especially considering how cool the sand remains even during scorching summers.

For this prototype, I utilized White Nubuck and Ivory Suede leather, complemented by various premium leathers for the side panels that represent the colors of the Lifeguard houses that are located on Siesta Key beach. The Quartz sneakers are finished with creamy 9mm oval laces, embroidered heel tabs, and feature Dunk soles.

My goal is to offer these sneakers for purchase and provide customization options in the near future.
