Making wine is equal parts beautiful, exhausting, and humbling.
Pumping free run juice, dumping grapes, and getting barrels ready to fill gives appreciation for just how much work goes into every bottle.
And then there’s Chris Horn… a sommelier who came to experience harvest as a part of @wa_state_wine Road Trip and may have gotten a little too hands on with the wine. I’ll let the pictures tell that story.
I feel pretty blessed to be part of making the wine at Frichette.
It’s not always pretty and the days aren’t perfect but in the middle of all the chaos, I’m reminded that this work eventually ends up in a glass, shared around a table with people we care about.
And that’s a pretty special.
Now, if someone could please get Chris to keep the wine inside the barrel, we’d appreciate it. Happy Harvest!!!!

J & D gave themselves a whole weekend.

Dinner at Aerlume that ran long in the best way.
Drinks at The Nest with the city sitting underneath
everyone. And then a private estate turned into
something out of Italy, filled with every person who
has ever mattered to them.

When I asked what they wanted from their film, they
said the love in the room. Not the details. The people.

Congratulations you two. This was a joy.

We had a vision. Five days of buildout, countless hands, and one unforgettable celebration for J&D 🤍

From custom flooring installed over a tennis court by @sperrytentsseattle , to an overhead trellis glowing with chandeliers by @lightsmiths.seattle , to a custom stage front and band backdrop built in-house by our talented team—every detail of this wedding was a true production.

Our team was onsite throughout the five-day build, working alongside an incredible vendor team to bring every piece together. Nearly 100 people had a hand in making this weekend happen, and watching it all come to life was pretty incredible.

And at the center of it all were J&D. Kind, gracious, and so genuinely excited to celebrate with the people they love. Seeing them finally step into the celebration we had spent so much time creating made every bit of it worth it.

So grateful to these two for trusting Events by Genevieve with such an incredible undertaking—and to the extraordinary team who helped us build it together. ✨
