Signing up for yoga teacher training isn’t about feeling completely ready. I wasn’t.

It’s about having the courage to take a step forward for yourself.

Signing up for yoga teacher training is NOT about being flexible, or knowing every pose, or already feeling confident to teach.

Confidence comes through practice.

The more you practice, the more you’ll embody your practice and your experience. As you learn to trust what you feel and know, the more confident you become in sharing that experience with someone else. In fact, it’s inevitable. Your commitment to your practice in yoga teacher training will make it so that sharing is inevitable.

Teacher training isn’t asking you to arrive as a teacher. It’s asking you to arrive as a student.

For many of you, yoga teacher training will be your first significant investment in yourself. Not only financially, but with your time, energy, attention, and heart.
Prepare yourself for that. When you make the decision to commit to teach training, give yourself permission to make you and your training a priority.

Look at your life now and ask, “What needs to shift so I can truly be present for this experience?”

Arrange for reliable childcare or pet care, look ahead at your work schedule and make sure all your shifts are covered. Let your family, friends, and the people who depend on you know that you may be less available during training.
You are creating space for something that is very sacred and that matters to you, and in doing so, you are already teaching the people in your in your life that they are also worthy of doing the same. Post continued in comments✨✨

I’ve been in the yoga world long enough to know that completing a teacher training and actually feeling prepared to teach are two very different things.

That’s one of the reasons the HIBS yoga teacher training means so much to me.

I don’t want you to graduate with a sequence you memorized, that contains all the cues to call out the 20 poses in it. Not only does that really limit where you can teach after training, it’s a quick way to burn out as a yoga teacher, or worse, cause repetitive stress injuries in your body and the bodies of your regular students.

I also don’t want you standing there after training, holding your certificate, thinking, “Okay… now how do I actually teach?” (Which happens a lot, believe it or not)…. This training will set you up to be a successful teacher and to feel confident that you are ready to actually start teaching.

I want you to know how to teach the person in front of you and how to adapt the practice to meet their needs. Our 200-hour training is about building that foundation.

You’ll learn the art of sequencing using tried and true formulas that you can customize to suit the needs of your students, while safely adding your own flare. (Post continued in comments)

What if yoga teacher training wasn’t only about learning how to teach poses…

So much as changing the way you see bodies, including your own?

Have you been in a yoga class and wondered why everyone else looks like they’re having such a great time and it’s so easy for them, yet you’re on the struggle bus, confused why their experience isn’t also yours?

Or have you ever walked into a yoga class and quietly wondered,

“Is there room for a body like mine here?”

The HIBS Yoga Teacher Training will make you question some of the things many of us have been taught about yoga.

That there is one “correct” alignment for every pose and it needs to look a certain way.

That modifying or using props means you’re doing less, or not doing it the way it’s supposed to be done.

That yoga isn’t about making your practice fit the pose, it’s about allowing the practice to meet you where you are.

We’re going to explore a different kind of strength, too.

Strength as trusting yourself.
Strength as honoring your boundaries.
Strength as staying present.

That strength doesn’t always have to come by pushing through pain.

You’ll begin rebuilding and healing your relationship with your body.

And ultimately, your relationship with other people’s bodies.

Because when you learn to listen to your own body differently, you’ll hold space for other bodies differently, too.

Our intention isn’t simply to create teachers who know more or have everything memorized perfectly.

We want to cultivate teachers who are curious.
Teachers who have embodied what they are teaching.

Teachers who are compassionate and inclusive, who see the human before the pose.

If you’ve felt something missing from your practice or your teaching, maybe this is the invitation you’ve been waiting for.

Our next program starts in February, reach out to me or Heba for more information.

WHAT ARE YOU AVOIDING? STOP RUNNING & SHOW UP!

Weird times we’re living in, no wonder most of us are living numb.... scrolling mindlessly on our phones, spending money on things we don’t need, and running around chasing our tails getting nowhere fast.

This 200 Hour Foundational Yoga Teacher Training program is an emergency cord, a lifeline for you to stop letting the noise distract you, to wake up and self-regulate, so that you can integrate this very real and, sometimes, very heavy experience of being an eternal spirit soul experiencing this crazy material world from inside a very temporary physical body.

In this program, we train your attention, your nervous system, and your voice so that you can truly connect to the truth of what matters most and meet your life with authenticity. You’ll learn everything you need to know to be an incredible yoga teacher, but more importantly, you’ll learn how to focus, breathe, and feel, to choose your lived experience with intention.

You’ll leave with:

-Self-trust in your unshakable ability to deal with real-world stress

-Aligned action over old patterns, negative self-talk, self-deprecating habits, and avoidance

-Courage to be happy, feel deeply, connect with others, and stay present no matter what

Skills that exceed Yoga Alliance standards for 200-Hour yoga teacher training programs (in comments):

Some are applauded for medals, titles, and achievements.
Very few are applauded for their journey—the struggles, and devotion that shape a life of purpose.
Rarer still are those who transform their challenges into wisdom that serves the collective. I have silently admired Yogi Nataraj for years—for his dedication, depth of practice, and his rare ability to bring scriptural knowledge into practical living.

Yogi Nataraj is a practitioner of Yogic Sciences, an author, Vedic Astrologer, and a scholar of human consciousness, which formed part of his MS in Yogic Sciences. His life itself is his research, and he is currently in the final phase of completing his PhD.

You now have a beautiful opportunity to attend his live sessions at
FOOD. BREATH. BALANCE FEST
📍 Anthem Hills Park
📅 January 31
✨ Event Schedule with Yogi Nataraj

10:00 AM – Vinyasa Yoga Flow
12:00 PM – Mudra Experience
Followed by Book Launch: “Healing Mudras”
& Presentation on Clinical Trials in Reversing Pre-Diabetes through Yoga & Ayurveda.

This is a rare opportunity to learn, experience, and meet him in person.
Do not miss it.

👉 Yogi Nataraj is also the main host of the event.
