Surreal views, outstanding food, and an unforgettable family adventure in Vancouver!
We swallowed our fear on the Capilano Suspension Bridge, took in the cityscape at Stanley Park, roamed Grouse Mountain, spoke to the birds at Bloedel Conservatory, sunbathed at Kitsilano Beach, and browsed through Granville Island and Gastown. They do make it easier to be a vegetarian there, as well as not feel so judged for what makes you unique.

I had to post more. I cannot express enough how much I loved being in Vancouver. Every second of it was great. I would love to come back here. 🇨🇦 Everyone should check out the store in picture 13.

New Hope Pride Parade 2026
Celebrated LGBT+ pride with some of the coolest people. We all dressed up in fun outfits to help ourselves feel free and joyful for a little while before we go back to facing our rights being ripped away more and more as the days go by. Continue to celebrate love as well as what makes us unique but also united.

Wow, what a year. Great memories made, great friends I spent time with, new places explored, new adventures had. There were quite a few unlucky times and some people to get rid of, but that's life. Here's to 2026 and maybe it can be even better! 🥂 🎆

LINK IN BIO - Ignore that this is a direct repost from my TikTok. I have been sharing generally my GoFundMe on my main and figured I’d give it something a little easier to share. I would really appreciate the financial help. I’m just under 10 weeks to go. Help me by sharing or donating to my Venmo or GFM. Thank you!

Vegan restaurants are going un-vegan…but is that ultimately bad for getting people to eat less meat to combat climate change?

@Reducetarian fellow Chey Olexa explains how these plant-forward restaurants may still lead to people meat reduction.

Cities across the United States are taking aggressive steps to reduce their climate emissions, from creating bike lanes to increasing plant-based meals in schools and hospitals.

As these city climate initiatives continue to surge, so do the efforts to shut them down.

With financial backing from polluting industries, a growing number of politicians are attempting to undercut policy agendas by calling them Marxist, including climate action.

We took a look at a recent effort in Arizona — what it means for local governments and their ability to govern.

In this week’s #RUSummerSpotlight, meet Chey 🎓
Chey is a member of the Class of 2023, graduating with a degree in Journalism & Media Studies from @rutgerscomminfo. After graduation, Chey hopes to work in music journalism, continuing a passion for writing about Korean music.

📘 What made you choose your major?
“Looking back, I was always attracted to writing and storytelling. My mom had always thought doing radio would be so interesting for me, but being behind the scenes of things through writing would be right up my alley. I could be able to do something that I love to do without being the focus. With Korean, I have been getting very interested in the culture, so my minor has allowed me to broaden what I could do in the future as well as communicate with more people around the world.”

☀️ What did you like about your summer experience?
“My summer experience was a study abroad in Seoul, South Korea at Ewha University. Ewha has such a rich history and beautiful campus. I was able to take a language course and a Korean cinema course for my Korean minor as well as explore Korea. It was cool to see all these places that I have seen online and to be able to put what I've learned about the culture and the language into practice by ordering things myself and interacting with the locals.”

⚔️ What is your favorite thing about attending Rutgers?
“Rutgers has a very diverse student body, and I love being able to meet a lot of different people that I haven't had the opportunity to before in high school. Being here has also helped me to step up a lot more for my community. I am a part of @Ultraviolet.Rutgers, which is a LGBTQIA+ group that talks about different issues and where we lift each other up. Being in Ultraviolet was one of my happiest memories at Rutgers.”

🗣️ Any advice for future students at Rutgers students?
“Don't be afraid of your timeline. Be patient with yourself. And don’t feel like you have to do exactly what everyone else is doing with school. All majors and minors have their ups and downs, but it's worth sticking to the ones you love.”

Stay tuned for more #RUSummerSpotlight stories about our previous summer students & their Rutgers journey!

Merry Christmas everyone, and remember what this day is about. May Jesus be with us all as we remember the birth on this special occasion. And yes, that is champagne.
