it’s hard to believe that “ca$ino” is really only three days away man “the melodic blue” was literally the album that started ORS, so this one hits a bit closer to home for me. with the new “booman” documentaries coming out, the latest one having dropped yesterday, i felt like this was a necessary post. the snippets on this thing and the entire rollout as a whole is something pretty unique, just as i feel like recently for rap albums, this level of personal story hasn’t really been something we’ve seen integrated in a while whether that will come through on the album or not is to be determined, but i’m certainly excited. and that’s saying something considering that keem is an artist that literally has not put out a full length album in nearly five years (crazy to even say that) the snippets on this thing range from being a bit more soulful to more aggressive-sounding, and it’ll be interesting to see just how the short feature list (from too $hort, kendrick, momo boyd, and che ecru) is integrated. moreso, i’m interested to see how keem builds out his own artistic identity on this project in the time since “the melodic blue,” the guy has sparsely popped out for his own creative work. we saw him on “the hillbillies,” and that was fire, but beyond that, it’s been a lot of rumors (certainly y’all remember “child with wolves”) at least in topical focus, the documentaries give us an interesting glimpse as to whether the life of sin, hedonism, and more typically associated with vegas is something we’re going to see shine through i remember being a kid in senior year of high school many years ago listening to “orange soda” and “honest” for the first time being introduced to kendrick lamar’s talented cousin. then “family ties” and “the melodic blue” came and the whole world knew who he was not many artists can take such a break and have this many eyes on their next project. for keem… it’s the most important moment of his career what do you guys think? are y’all tuning into “ca$ino” when it drops? lmk below <3 — #babykeem #kendricklamar #keem #drake #rap
