P A R T F O U R:⁣

A: Pregnancy was a really smooth and easy experience for me. I won't say I changed much with my habits. I was intentional about making healthy choices but nothing over the top. I also didn't really have cravings. Never threw up, too. I was honestly blessed. The one thing I'll say is this: I prayed a lot about wanting an easy pregnancy. Long before being pregnant, each time I saw a pregnant woman who seemed to have it easy or had a non-symptom or a glow I desired, I would touch them and say, "I receive this". Some call it 'manifesting', some call it 'speaking things into existence'. And literally 95% of the things I prayed for, desired or said I didn't want happened just as I had hoped. So it was a smooth journey for me on the whole. I mean, I had crazy heartburn in the first trimester, back-to-back migraines for weeks in the second, and really itchy skin in the third but that was it, really. These were all really uncomfortable but I think knowing they had an expiry date helped me cope. I also had a really tiny bump for like first 6-7 months, and it was winter so I was always in baggy/thick clothing. You wouldn't know I was pregnant if I hadn't told you. I remember at some point, my mum was like, "are you sure you're pregnant?" (Laughs), but of course by the final trimester, the bump had shot out!⁣
I am grateful for my support system too. Everyone wanted to support us and do everything they could to make mine and our lives easier. They wouldn't let me lift a finger.!
One of my friends came to ours to cook and freeze 4 different meals so we wouldn't have to think about cooking for a while. Friends and family hounded me about sending the link to our baby registry. They stayed on my neck till we created one (laughs). Almost everything Baby owns now was a gift and the gifts are still rolling in! Our friends from church set up a month-long food delivery rota using an app so we wouldn't have to worry about food - food and food vouchers were getting sent to us every other day.

WEDDING TIMELINE FROM FIRST CONTACT 2ND APRIL 2023

Tosan (the bride) reached out to me via my website (if you have not visited my website, you are missing a lot cos it has all my latest mix - LINK IN MY BIO)…moving on ⤵️

Tosan made me aware she was having a multicultural Nigerian wedding (she is Yoruba and her partner is Ibinio from Akwa Ibom). She also wanted to have all 3 parts of her wedding on the same day (traditional, wedding ceremony and reception) so I knew I had my work cut out for me (again) as this would be an “all day event” (9am arrival at venue and 12 midnight to leave).

So how did this Nigerian wedding go? Well because I have done this loads of time (3 in one wedding), I had my packed “Nigerian Jollof rices” (very important as I would be at the venue from 9am), water, change of clothes (3 pairs) and I was ready!! Guests had a great time (video above says it all) and the bride and groom danced and danced and danced…….
