The past 10 days away were a collision of worlds, and I am left with an overflowing cup, bursting heart, and a renewed soul. The short version comes from the pre festival Wisdom Camp workshop where we were invited to engage with 4 different writings. I circled, underlined, starred and hearted things that stood out to me the most.

I called it My Heart Connection as it was the hearted words from all 4 pieces tied together.

"In the deepest sense, (1)
they pursue the vision of God. (2)
The only ultimate answer is a deeply revolutionary (3)
divine power that permeates every aspect of life where the impossible becomes possible (4)

1) bell hooks, Sister Outsider, "Uses of the Erotic: The Erotic as Power"
2) Kenneth Leech, The Social God, "Contemplation as a Subversive Activity"
3) Former Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams, Address to the Synod of Bishops in Rome, Oct 10, 2012
4) Barbara Holmes, Joy Unspeakable, "Ain't Gonna Let Nobody Turn Us Around: Contemplation, Activism and Praxis"

Thank you to every person involved in all the things. Thank you. There’s never enough time together and next year is too far away.

Oh and we want in on the "I survived..." shirts!
See you all in 2027!

I love this picture so much. For what surrounded it. For lynny. For the time I spent with them. For their opele and encouragement. For the prayer rug I will cherish more now. For blessings. For genealogy and who we were as descendants. I would say rest now, awo. Except you know they are about to become the hardest working ancestor in the cosmos.

To my foundation, @johnbronstonmusic , the happiest of Birthdays! It’s been an amazing 2025, and the second half is looking equally grand! You are amazing and I’m thankful to be in your universe. Looking forward seeing you back in NYC, albeit briefly 😘😘😘

The Order of Hildegard celebrates
Heidi Marie Gardner they/she

who is currently leading our cohorts in facilitating Enneagram studies.

Heidi was formerly called to ministry and academics.

Now they're a servant leader in the world of lost, forgotten, ignored and suppressed history and family stories.

Heidi is an appalachian neuroqueer. A visual and theatre artist. A relationship alchemist. An enneagram practitioner. A granny witch, social worker and teacher at heart. A ritualist and a librarian, historian and genealogist. Heidi returned to the landscape of the nomadic indigenous lands in the Potomac Highlands where she was raised and labor now is largely expressed in the context of mutual aid and bartering or is freely gifted and includes intersectional community care, activism and transformative justice-- specifically within neurodivergent, queer and Black led spaces. In a long ago and far away life, they trained for ministry and taught rural first year college students world religions and the history of xianity. Bless them.
