@dravasays, @aestheticsolutionsnc, & @jeaninedownie are some of the women OGs that were @revance KOL summit in Nashville this weekend who have written the papers, done the research, completed the FDA trials, and who taught an entire generation how to inject neurotoxin & fillers in a safe, effective, & artistic manner.

Let’s give these pioneers and the other female trailblazers the mad respect they deserve 🙌🙌🙌🙌.

I think about my own journey coming up in aesthetics looking up to all of these ladies who I am now fortunate enough to call my famous, fun, & fabulous friends🫶🫶🫶. I don’t know how they did it and keep doing it so well🙌🙌🙌They’re mothers, grandmothers, business owners, mentors, innovators, and true girls girls-women who genuinely support & elevate other women in our industry & beyond.

And somehow they’ve managed to do all of that while being ridiculously well dressed and a whole lot of fun. 😂💃

Ladies, you paved the way for so many of us. You have ALL of my respect🙌🙌🙌❤️

That wraps up the 3rd Annual @revance Key Opinion Leader (KOL) Summit at their headquarters in Nashville, TN! This meeting is full of discussions and advisory boards that bring together some of the best and most experienced aesthetic minds with the decision makers for the company! It is always great to hear about what is in the developmental pipeline, new research being done and catch up with my colleagues from across the country. A whirlwind weekend in Chicago with colleagues and friends—and some of the best minds in procedural dermatology.

I spent the weekend at the ASDS Advanced Injection Techniques with Multimodal Therapies Workshop, diving into advanced facial assessment, injection techniques, energy-based devices, and how we can thoughtfully sequence treatments for natural, longer-lasting outcomes.

One of the things I value most about being a fellowship-trained cosmetic dermatologist is that the learning never stops. I trained alongside exceptional physicians, and I continue to learn from fellowship-trained colleagues who are advancing our field. Lectures, candid discussion, and live chairside demonstrations are how we continue to refine our techniques—and ultimately bring better care back to our patients.

Special thanks to ASDS, Dr. Carolyn Jacob and Dr. Ashish Bhatia for hosting, and to the incredible faculty—many of whom I’m fortunate to also call colleagues and friends.

Back to Columbia with new pearls, new ideas, and an even longer list of things I want to bring to Capital Skin & Laser.

So so so grateful to @ourselfskin for sharing this pilot study with me!

While it does have its limitations I think this is a great example of a good design, good intentions, and an honest study and approach to ask a thoughtful question of instead of flooding consumers with multiple products what if we made something truly special that optimized a routine?
