Three winters and 80 something matches later ❤️💙

Three years ago I didn’t think I’d come back to the mat. I’d end the school day dreading practice and come home exhausted thinking I made no progress, but I had coaches and teammates that supported my every step. Huge thank you to all my coaches, especially Bing, Gianni, and Richie who were my biggest mentors since I started out. Thank you to Coach Colin, Coach Sami, and Coach Jackson for encouraging me to always be better. Very big shout-out to the Nesbitt family for their support over the years and their girls for being role models on and off the mat 👏🏾

Thank you to all the girls I got to compete beside and against. You were the biggest reasons I smiled all winter ❤️

I went to 2023 preseason workouts not having a single idea what I was really working out for. (I think i really only heard about wrestling from that one Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie..)

My first year was a blur competition wise, but what I remember most was falling in love with the culture, especially the girls I got to see at tournaments and compete with. The community really grew on me and I eventually fell in love with the sport too. By the 2024 season my favorite part of wrestling was definitely competition, where I got to cheer on my friends and learn from them. This season I was lucky enough to place 5th at the PIAA State Championships, something I never would have imagined when I first walked into preseason workouts.

And of course I have so much love for Neshaminy's team this year. 😍😍 The group of girls I got the opportunity to board the short bus with will be unforgettable. I'll never forget the discipline and courage this sport has taught me and I hope more girls find a passion like this someday.

Hopefully I will see you all soon,

This past weekend's Wetzel Tournament (Dec 28–29) was a huge success for our girls, with four placing. Results like these take consistency, accountability, and belief. Proud of this team. Locked in for what’s next. 🦉🎀🤼‍♀️ #bensalemstrong #bensalemwrestling
