In case you missed it…

“Michelin has expanded its prestigious hotel ranking to include two Triangle properties, placing them among the finest stays in the world. The Heights House Hotel in Raleigh and the Fearrington House Inn in Pittsboro each earned one Michelin Key in the 2026 guide.

Michelin describes One-Key hotels as “very special stays” that offer “a true gem with personality,” noting service “always goes the extra mile.”

Fearrington has long been a Triangle destination, pairing rural charm with the acclaimed cooking at its Fearrington House restaurant. Heights House is a boutique newcomer, built from a 160-year-old mansion the owners restored starting in 2018.

Two Western North Carolina mountain properties earned the higher Two Keys honor, reserved for “exceptional stays”: The Swag in Waynesville and The Cataloochee Ranch in Maggie Valley.

Michelin first awarded Keys in 2024, and North Carolina more than doubled its honored hotels in the 2026 guide. Heights House and Fearrington were among five state hotels to earn Keys for the first time.”

We are so honored to be included and we offer sincere congratulations to our fellow North Carolina MICHELIN key members. What good company!

Debuting our newest cocktail list, just in time for sweater weather ☺️ 🍂

A little late to the autumn party, we know. @heightshouseweddings has kept us quite busy in all the best ways, but we would never keep a good cocktail from you for too long!

Consider this your invitation to join us at the Parlor, where we’ll be mixing up our newest cocktails starting Tuesday, October 20th. We’ll save you a seat. 🍁

The Michelin Guide has steered travelers to culinary hot spots around the world for more than a century, but since 2024, the lauded list makers have branched out to accommodations. These seven spots are among the newest holders of the Michelin Key, a distinction that recognizes outstanding hotels for their character, design, charm, and service. Learn about each one at the link in our bio.

This weekend is a full market weekend for me! Saturday I’ll be at the Fenton Makers Market at 855 Cary Towne Blvd in Cary. Sunday I’m back in Raleigh at Heights House at 308 S. Boylan.

I have ghost mugs, City of Oaks pieces, some bee mugs and herb strippers, a stock of flower mugs, and a range of dip glaze herb strippers, garlic graters, mugs, and vases.

It’s never too early to Christmas shop, even for yourself!
