Courtnie & Chad’s day at @heightshousenc was joined by some pop up showers, but it didn’t stop the day from moving forward. The wet stuff was embraced, which made for some incredibly beautiful and lush backdrops. And of course, the rain never lasts forever. The sun decided to pop out at the end of the ceremony as the couple exited amongst their friends and families. Magic.

We have news. ✨ Heights House Hotel has been awarded a MICHELIN Key in the 2026 global selection. 🔑

For those unfamiliar, the MICHELIN Key is the hotel world’s answer to the MICHELIN Star. Awarded by anonymous inspectors who evaluate a property’s architecture, service, character, value, and connection to its setting. A One Key distinction recognizes what Michelin calls “a very special stay.” The only hotel in Raleigh awarded and one of nine in the entire state.

Back in 2018, we saw a run-down 160-year-old mansion and knew what it could be. Turns out we were onto something. Getting this recognition feels like the validation of every decision we made along the way and we are very grateful for it.

Thank you to everyone who has stayed with us, celebrated with us, and trusted us with your evenings in the parlor and your mornings on the porch. This one’s for you, too.
