MEET THE ARTISTS

Ten artists. Ten perspectives. One exhibition.

Behind every work is an artist…and behind every artist is a story, an experience, a way of seeing the world.

For ARTe: Expressions of Filipino Creativity in Sweden, ten artists with roots from the Philippines come together, each bringing something distinctly their own.

Different backgrounds. Different generations. Different artistic practices and ways of expressing what moves us, shapes us and connects us.

Through paintings, objects and poetry, ARTe brings these individual voices into one shared space…not to tell one story, but to make room for many.

Over the coming days, we’ll introduce you to each of our participating artists and give you a closer look at the people, ideas and creative practices behind the exhibition.

These are the artists of ARTe 2026.

We can’t wait for you to meet them. 🇵🇭🇸🇪

So, what is FAAS?

FAAS stands for Filipino Artists Association of Sweden. We are a non-profit, non-religious and non-political organization bringing together emerging and established Filipino artists in Sweden.

We come from different backgrounds, create different kinds of art and have our own stories to tell. FAAS gives us a space to meet, share ideas, create, learn from one another and support each other.

Our work is guided by four core values: Enrich, Encourage, Empower and Community.

We enrich through art and shared experiences. We encourage one another to keep creating and exploring. We empower artists to share their work and discover new opportunities. Most importantly, we continue building a community where Filipino artists feel welcome and supported.

Different artists. Different stories. One community.

This is FAAS. 🇵🇭🇸🇪
