𝔉𝔦𝔳𝔢 𝔬𝔳𝔢𝔯 𝔣𝔦𝔳𝔢 𝔥𝔲𝔫𝔡𝔯𝔢𝔡

Since @thehauntedspiderslibrary just tagged me, I absolutely had to show you all my chunky books.

There is nothing better in my opinion than a thick book.
Maybe except for a thick book about vampires.
I absolutely adore reading about blood sucking monsters, so here are my thick babies dedicated to that topic, and that topic alone.

We have:
• Midnight Sun from Twilight
• Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil (the stunning Polish edition that I absolutely adore)
• Crush from The Crave series
• Dracul
• Dracula’s Child
• A Discovery of Witches
• Anno Dracula
• Vampire Hunter D

Have you read any of these big beauties? And do you like chunky books in general?

As always, I will be tagging some of you cuties, but even if I forget your name please feel free to join in on the fun if you’re feeling like it 🥀🪦♥️

My beloved @thehauntedspiderslibrary tagged me in a few fun challenges, one of which is the 𝔚𝔬𝔯𝔡 ℭ𝔥𝔞𝔩𝔩𝔢𝔫𝔤𝔢.

The word she assigned me was 𝔓𝔲𝔪𝔭𝔨𝔦𝔫, so I decided it was the perfect time to commemorate the first half of spooky season with it.

𝔓 - The Perfect Victim
𝔘 - Uncle Montague’s Tales of Terror
𝔐 - Mary
𝔓 - Poe Knows
𝔎 - Kiedy Nadciąga Mgła
ℑ - Interview with the Vampire
𝔑 - The Night House

As always I’m gonna tag some of you cuties, and since we’re ending the first half of spooky season and entering another your word will be 𝔎𝔯𝔞𝔪𝔭𝔲𝔰

Also on another note how is Pandoro this insanely photogenic? Lucky adorable bastard XD

Book Review📚

Perfume: The story of a murderer by: Patrick Süskind🥀

🥀Rating: 4.5/5⭐️

🥀Review:
This book is like nothing I have ever read! Perfume is originally written in german, I read it in spanish before and this time in english, and honestly I'm not a translator of literature but I believe it was translated very well in both editions I read. It is dark, disturbing, odd and interesting in a creepy way! At times it can be so disturbing you want to put the book down but it's also so captivating, I was unable to put it down.

In this book our main character Jean Baptiste Grenouille is born with an unbelievably strong sense of smell. During his childhood, he can distinguish smells that others cannot all around France, specifically Paris (that's the setting of this novel) ...

As our character grows in age, He becomes an apprentice to a perfumer due to his fascination with smells but although he is intrigued by the work, he cannot deal with all people. We watch our main character decent into madness as he begins to find the smell of women irresistible but he cannot solely enjoy their company... The scents drive him mad, even enough to commit murder... thus the book being called story of a murderer.

The Secret History☕️

"Does such a thing as 'the fatal flaw,' that showy dark crack running down the middle of a life, exist outside literature? I used to think it didn't. Now I think it does. And I think that mine is this: a morbid longing for the picturesque at all costs."

The book that started it all, my obsession of dark academia... maybe more of an obsession really, and now dark academia is my life style.

This book is EVERYTHING dark academia... an unhinged friend group, secrets, learning latin, murder and possibly even a bit cultish. The writing, the quotes, the characters... Donna Tartt put her entire heart into this book!

If We Were Villains🕊️⚔️

"For someone who loved words as much as I did, it was amazing how often they failed me."

This book is everything! As the quote above states... my words fail me when I try to describe the perfection that is this novel... my heart will forever be left between the pages of this book.
