This is simply an appreciation post from the deepest part of my heart & soul. Today i hit more than 10k followers… can I just take a moment… wow. I’m feeling so grateful and blessed in ways that words can’t explain but I will try my best. I created this page 2
years ago with a simple goal in mind.. to create a safe space on this platform for others to come and take what they need. To hopefully try an shed some positivity, light and realness in an ever so growing world of facades. I’ve always loved designing & my costume have been a safe space for me whenever there was nobody to see. Now because of you all it feels like I have the whole world listening and I couldn’t feel more full. The love and support I feel from this community everyday I log on is truly a blessing I could never take for granted. I read you all’s DMs & comments daily constantly reinforcing the fact sooo many of us are going through similar things. Sharing the same emotions, experiences & thought processes in numerous ways. I believe we are all simply searching for our most authentic paths whatever that means to you. We are all here simply just trying to figure this thing called life out. I knew immediately that this space would be centered around my beautiful beloved Queens & Kings , but I felt so many within our community are searching for something greater… something more, dealing with so many unseen battles & struggles. I wanted a space where individuals could come and openly share perspectives, stories, opinions, life experiences, and anything else in between. I think we often need little reminders that we are not alone in life. No matter where you come from or what your circumstances are there’s so much beauty within all of us & around all of us if we just take the time to stop & look. My second goal & one that I’m still working on is to be able to have a platform that facilitates in shining a light on black creatives ALL around the world (continued in comments).
