My life partner turns 37 today! Happy birthday @hello.fox_ —I could not ask for a better person to adventure with and to face the fires of this world with.

I love witnessing you create and stretch yourself. We did so much this year MOVING, handling life and traveling—thank you for always helping find the laughter and the joy.

Four years in Tennessee and a lifetime of lessons, blessings. I moved in 2020 knowing maybe 5 people in the state to do something that on paper seemed wild. But spirit knew!

Tennessee gave me my love, fierce community, pieces of myself, my first car and so much more.

Thank you to everyone and every experience.

Grateful for
-nature
-escape
-walking forever with humility
-laughing with my chosen sister
-adventuring with my dreamy Pisces babe who got me to surf, sort of
-learning about queer resistance, continued struggle
-seafood with butter and garlic
-that with age I’m learning how to live better and it has little to do with work
-prince and so much more

The Atlantic Ocean is a miracle, a keeper of stories and I can’t wait to live closer to her soon. 10 days in Portugal and I am reminded of the power of rest, moving with kindness, curiosity. I am reminded where we put our energy is sacred. #earnmyblessings

Welp my baby done did it and moved away to Memphis. I was gonna write a big long mushy post but I decided to put it all into a letter and give it to him instead. I’ll just leave it here with this, my friendship with Andy has been profoundly transformative. I’ll miss him with everything I’ve got. I wuv u wittle baby boy.

Three years ago yesterday @hello.fox_ picked me up to take me to a protest, what I consider our first date. I had been in Nashville just shy of a week.

From a summer of transitions and uprisings to moving in together in Memphis in a month—-I’m so grateful to build and adventure with my baby.

I love all that you are, Andy.

Master of the (queer as hell) divine.

To my people: I carried you with me across the stage today. Adriana, Lisa and Wendi—-I am because of you.

Ask for transformation and you shall receive.

I worked my fine ass off for this degree. Grateful to the insider women at the prison, the patients receiving gender-affirming care and my dear classmates for being some of my greatest teachers. I am committed to becoming a radical queer chaplain because of y’all.

But what I’m really proud of escapes documentation.

I built and am building the healthiest partnership with my beloved.

I started recovery and am grateful for the healing journey that is the adult children of alcoholics and dysfunctional families.

I joined a badass group of TN organizers learning to practice transformative justice in this place.

I bought a car.

I have begun a healing journey with my body as part of the sacred space at @thechromebar.

I left Chicago May 2020 in a Dodge Caravan with all I had left and didn’t look back because y’all made me ready. I’m still here. One degree hotter as they say and so much greater for it. #earnmyblessings
