I've been so fortunate to be able to photograph some of the most incredible rising stars in the concert dance world--most of them as students!!! Movement is a philosophy, not only through the body of a dancer, but also in the choreography how an eye moves around the frame of a still image. We’re closing out Black History Month by celebrating our incredible Black MFA & BFA Dance at Illinois alumni! ✨

From their favorite campus memories to the dance works that shaped them and the paths their artistry has taken since then!

Their journeys reflect creativity, resilience, and impact and their stories showcase the lasting influence of Black artists within and beyond Dance at Illinois, and the powerful legacy they continue to build. 🪩

Ended my summer in NY with a bang! Spent my last 2 weeks with @complexions_academy, saw @enhypen, and said goodbye to my @joffreyschool family until next year.
The final rat count of this year was 90!

This is a school of integrity and discipline. What an honor to have worked with Joffrey Ballet School @joffreyschool this summer! I met incredible people, and got back in touch with my ballet roots. OFF JOFF 🩷🩷🩷 🩰
